fAQE FOURTEEN. A I A XOKDAY, 17, 19JO MARKETS LITTLE CHANGE IN WHEAT PRICES IN CINCINNATI Cincinnati, Feb. 17--No particular interest iras displayed in cash wheat either by cash handlers or by millers. Prices wore governed by option changes, the week's ranges closing only higher than the week previous. Receipts wero only fair.

Demand lor cash corn locally was much improved and dealers said this market could-have absorbed double its receipts without difficulty. Good quality closed higher but discounts were lowered on lower grades. Oats closed 3 lower with the market easier on top grade and mixed dull. 17. (IP) Sharp breaks in wheat values here took place early today preceded by decided setbacks at Liverpool and by a $2,000,000 grain failure at AVinni- peg. Notice was also being taken of assertions current in some quarters that European importers had definitely beaten North American wheat growers iu the price war which has been waged for tho last six monthls. Opening 1 to lower, Chicago wheat afterward showed little power to rally. Corn, oats and provisions wero also weaker, with corn starting to off, and subsequently keeping near to the initial range.

Reports of entire a-bsenco of any demand for wheat at Liverpool today went hand iu hand with word of an increase of tho amount of wheat afloat for Europe and of con- tinued'largo stocks in Great Britain. Moreover, Argentine offerings of wheat to Europe at prices below North American wheat wero report- cd as enlarging. Meanwhile, it was pointed out also ttiat only t-eu more weeks remain 'before the opening of Great Lakes investigation will release further quantities of wheat destined lo Europe. Outbursts general selling of wheat future deliveries in tho Chicago maiikrf today at ihnes swept into execution, numerous stop loss orders. Downturns of values were further accelerated by announcement that the agricultural commission of the French senate had asked the government of France to EU- thor igo immediately export of not less than 18,000,000 bushels of wheat and to pay a bounty on the wheat thus exported.

No indications of any North American export business of much conseqrfcnco wero apparent over the week-end. PRICES IN CUTCIHNATI ON MONDAY Cincinnati, Feb. 17. Wheat- 2 red winter 1-2, No. 3 red winter No.
