His wife, Mary Ann, a daughter, Mary, and a brother, John Larney, of Brookline, survive.

M. Friday for John Ellis White, of 1609 Ritner for many years the operator of a hansom cab outside the Reading Terminal and the Bellevue Stratford, who died Sunday in Philadelphia General Hospital. He was 77. Mr. White was well known to many prominent Philadelphians whom he served.

He is survived by five sons: John, George, Robert, Harry, Matthew, and two daughters, Marie and Helen. Services will be held at St. Monica's Church, 17th and Ritner sts.
