Floyd E. Waggoner of 436 First street was hostess at a dinner at her home Wednesday everting for the women employes of the Goldfarb Department Store. A Christmas gift exchange followed. Elect Officers WOOD of officers was held at the meeting of the Catholic Woman's Club, Wednesday afternoon at St. Bernard's Hall.

Mrs. Matt Waymlre was elected president; Mrs. Francis Manning, vice-president; Mrs. L. McKinney, Mrs.

Frank Meyers, Mrs. M. F. Manning, Mrs. Paul Schleeper and Mrs.

Lee Grey, trustees. Mrs, Tony Mllltello was elected treasurer. Mrs. Grey Is the retiring president. Plans were made for a pot-luck dinner at the next meeting, when each member will invite a guest.

A gift exchange was held. Birthday Observed WOOD RIVER Kindergerten pupils were guests Thursday at a party in honor of the sixth birthday of Carla Jean Fletcher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. L.

Fletcher of George street. To Pack Boxes WOOD of the Moose have requested members to bring in packages for Christmas boxes to be sent to the Children's Home and the Old Folks Home at Mooseheart and Moose Haven not later than Saturday. The boxes will be packed Sunday and sent out. Club Party WOOD RIVER. The Junior Woman's Club of Wood River will have a Christmas party at 7:30 p.

Mayor Humphrey of Wood River has organized the dance in an effort to promote playgrounds. An advertising campaign, run in connection with the dance, made almost $500 for the fund.

A donation booth will be maintained at the dance for those who wish to make contributions toward the fund. George Fries Orchestra will fur nlsh the music. Band Boosters Club WOOD RIVER. The Band Boosters Club met Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.

m. in the library of the high school and were entertained by the band, which gave a concert. At the close of the concert, refreshments were served In the cafeteria. Next meeting will be 7:30 p. m.
