The Wood River Council of (he Knights of Columbus, through Grand Knight Francis Monnlng, announced today pfnns for the Initiation of the Father Franrls Lee Class next Sunday 1 the Gerson Hall, Wood Rlvor. The program will hegln with the reception of Holy Communion by both present members and candidates in a body at the 8:30 moss. This will he under the direction of Father E.

J. Douglas, pastor of St. Bernard's Church, and chaplain of the council. Candidates will assemble by 11:30 a. m.

nt the office of Francis .1. Manning for preliminary instructions, and members will assemble at 12:30 p. m. at the Gerson Hall to witness the degree work. All three degrees are to be exemplified that day and will be under the supervision of Joseph Springman of Alton, district deputy.

The Edwardsville Council, with John B. Soehlke, grand knight, in charge, will conduct the first degree: the Breese Council, with Robert A. Meisner, grand knight, in charge, will conduct the second degree; and the East St. Louis degree team, under the direction of Dr. Murphy, will exemplify the third degree.

Emit Nasser, membership chairman, said that 40 candidates are to be Initialed. Immediately following the degree work a buffet luncheon will be served at the American Legion Home. This will be open to members only. E. P.
