Gibbs, 74, a former assistant dean of women at Cheyney State College, died Monday at Bryn Mawr Hospital. She lived on Aubrey Avenue in Ardmore. Before coming to Cheyney State in 1965, Miss Gibbs worked as an administrator at various colleges. She was dearr of women and director of religious education at Barber-Scotia College, Concord, N.C.; dean of women at Maryland State College, and director of the women's residence centers at Tennessee State College and Morgan John H. Thompson, was Riverton mayor John H.

Thompson, 79, a former mayor of Riverton, Burlington County, died Monday at Zurbrugg Memorial Hospital, Riverside, N. J. He lived in Moorestown, N.J. Mr. Thompson, a former division superintendent for Public Service Electric Gas retired in 1969 from the company's Moorestown office.

He was a former member of the Riverton Borough Council and was mayor from 1958 to 1961. He a was past commodore of the Riverton Yacht Club and an elder and clerk of Dec 23, 1980, JOHN of Uwndafe, formerly of Kensington, beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Kaolin) and devoted father of Doris Gallagher, John Jr. and Helen Drazke; also survived by 3 grandchildren. Miss Gibbs, a graduate of Howard University in Washington, received a master's degree in religious education and guidance from New York University.

She was a life member of the National Council of Negro Women and the session at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Riverton. He was an officer in the Moorestown Historical Society, a past president of the Palmy-ra-Riverton Rotary Club and a member of the Moorestown Rotary Club. He is survived by two sons, Allan J. and Jeffrey a brother, Robert five grandchildren and a greatgrandchild. Services will be 11 a.m.

Saturday at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Riverton, Fourth and Lippincott Streets. Weiner Abraham I. Weiner, 56, an accountant active in civic and charitable groups, died Thursday at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He lived in Holland, Pa. He was a graduate of Temple University and a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society. Mr.

Weiner, a certified public accountant (CPA) for 32 years, maintained offices in Philadelphia and Bensalem. He was a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Lower Bucks County Institute of CPAs. He was a past president of Emile Zola Lodge of Brith Sholom and a member of the Oxford Circle Jewish Community Center. Surviving are his wife, Enid Doline Weiner; two sons, Steven and Jeffrey; three daughters, Shelley, Denise and Leslie, and two grandsons. A shiva will be at the residence of Steven Weiner, 5054 Hunter's Court South, Bensalem.

Wood Evelyn Byrd Page Wood, 82, a Quaker nurse who married in China and played an active role in educational and charitable affairs, died Dec. 19 at the Anglecott Nursing Home in Chestnut Hill. She lived in Ambler. Mrs. Wood was the widow of Morris Wistar Wood, who died in July.

A graduate of the Agnes Irwin School, she won her nursing degree from Children's Hospital before she joined Mr. Wood in China. He was teaching science courses at the Christian College in Canton at the time of their marriage. When the couple returned to the United States, he joined the faculty at Westtown School, teaching science and mathematics. Surviving are three sons, Howard, Charles and M.

Family requests Mass offerings. J.G. Richard Heckscher, 71, who rose through the ranks to become a -corporate officer of Budd Co. and who was a former executive of the Franklin Institute, died Wednesday. He lived in Devon.

Mr. Heckscher joined Budd Co. as a welding engineer in 1933, after he had been graduated from Harvard Engineering School. He served as manager of navy sales, then as assistant secretary and was appointed corporate secretary in 1952. In 1955 Mr.

Heckscher was named vice president and director of sales of jet engine components, and in 1957 he became vice president and general manager ofthe defense division. In 1960 Mr. Heckscher left Budd Co. and was appointed executive vice president of the Franklin Institute. He had been a member of the institute's board of managers since 1952.

In January 1967 he resigned from the institute and became a senior commercial officer at Industrial Valley Bank. He also served as a member Louis Bonaventura Sr. Louis Bonaventura 89, a Philadelphia real estate broker for nearly 50 years, died Monday at the Immaculate Mary Home, Holme Circle and Welsh Road. He had lived in South Philadelphia. Mr.

Bonaventura, who maintained offices at 1502 S. Eighth St. from 1914 until he retired in 1963, was a member of the Philadelphia Board of Realtors for nearly 40 years. He was a veteran of service with the Army during World War I. Surviving are his wife, Sarah Tumminelli Bonaventura; three sons, Anthony, Louis and Vincent; a daughter, Jean Anthony, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Gangemi Funeral Home, 2234 S.
