Wednesday, May 7, 1980 Philadelphia Inquirer 21-D Death Notices Death Notices Death Notices Mary Wister, 53; decorator, active in sports, little theater Mary Denmeade Mann Adams Wister, 53, an interior decorator, sportswoman and little-theater enthusiast, died Tuesday at her home on Brynllawn Road, Villanova. Mrs. Wister, a graduate of the New York School of Interior Design, entered the decorating business in 1976, operating from her home under the name of Innovative Interiors. She was a graduate of the Agnes Irwin School and made her debut during World War II. She was named debutante of the year in the 1944-45 season by Philadelphia social editors, and Princeton University students selected her as the "prettiest Philadelphia debutante" in 1945.

During the war, she worked with the American Red Cross and the Emergency Aid of Philadelphia. She subsequently worked as a narrator on broadcasts of the "Walter Dam- rosch Hour." She was an active member of Plays Players at 1714 Delancy the oldest little-theater organization in the was also an avid skier in both the United States and Europe, was a member of the Merion Cricket Club squash and racquet teams, and for 25 years was active in the Gulph Mills Golf Club and in Women's Interclub golf. She was also a member of the U.S. Senior Women's Golf Association. She is survived by her husband, Malcolm L.

Wister; two sons by a former marriage, Henry A. and Garner B. Adams; a daughter, Mary Lloyd Wister, and a sister. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at St.

Christopher's Church on Righters Mill Road in Gladwyne. Herbert Keller; cleared in auto dealer's fraud 'Herbert W. Keller, 50, one of the principals in the 1975 collapse of the Chestnut Hill Lincoln-Mercury dealership, died Tuesday at his home on Creston Street in the Frankford section. Mr. Keller had been finance manager at Sheldon Chrysler- mouth Inc.

on Route 38 in Shade, N. since the collapse of the Chestnut Hill agency. During a 1977 investigation by the U.S. Organized Crime Strike Force into crime infiltration of legitimate businesses, Keller, sales manager for the Chestnut Hill auto agency; agency president Marvin Greenblatt and general manager Francis Harry Brown were arrested by federal agents. Mr.

Keller was acquitted during a trial in U.S. District Court. Greenblatt and Brown were convicted on charges of fraud, loan sharking and racketeering. The three men had been charged with falsely reporting a $175.000 robbery of the agency at 7700 Germantown attempting to defraud the Ford Motor Credit Co. and the Liberty Mutual Insurance Co.

with the purported holdup. Fraud charges against Mr. Keller were dismissed by District Judge Alfred Luongo on the basis that the government had failed to prove. its case. He is survived by his wife, Rae Seager Keller; daughter, Arleen Adelman; sons, Mark and Larry; three grandchildren; his parents, and a sister and a brother.

Leinberger, 62, an electrical engineer and an engineering instructor, died Sunday of cancer in Crozer-Chester Medical Center. He lived in Drexel Hill.

An applications engineer for General Electric Co. operations in the mid-Atlantic area, he had received the Thomas Edison Award and an award for his contributions to engineering expertise. He is survived by his wife, Helen Brown Leinberger; five sons, Frederick A. Gary, Christopher Bruce and Jefferson; one grandchild, one sister and two brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m.

Friday at the old Haverford Friends Meeting, Eagle and St. Dennis Lane, Havertown. Myer L. Carson Myer L. 69, a center city attorney prominent in Jewish affairs, died Monday in Hahnemann Hospital.

He maintained offices at One East Penn Square and lived at 2101 Walnut St. A graduate of Temple University and its law school, he was past president of the university's Liberal Arts Alumni Association and was active in the Law Alumni Association and the Temple University Down Club. Mr. Carson was a member of the board of governors of the Philadelphia Israel Bond Committee, and was given Israel's Year of Redemption Award for aid to Israel. Last year, he received the Silver Award for his 25 years as a volunteer worker with the Federation of Jewish Agencies.

He was a past president of the B'nai B'rith Council of Greater Philadelphia and of Quaker City B'nai B'rith Lodge, He is survived by his wife, Sophia Ochstein Carson, and four sisters.
