Carozza, a retired general practitioner who held several state and city medical posts, died Wednesday at St. Agnes Hospital after a stroke. He was 87 and lived at the Charlestown Retirement Community. In 1985, Dr. Carozza closed his practice, which he had maintained at his Govans home since 1937 and for a time before that in Little Italy.

In 1973, he became medical director at the Edgewood Nursing Home, now the Meridian Nursing Center-Homewood, and was medical director for several other homes in the Meridian chain before his retirement in 1988. Born in Baltimore, he was a 1926 graduate of City College and completed his medical studies in 1932 at Georgetown University where he also did undergraduate work. He was an intern at St. Joseph Hospital and later was member there and at Church, North Charles General F. Lilian Fenhagen Hospital volunteer F.

Lilian White Fenhagen, a longtime volunteer at Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital who was on the hospital auxiliary board for 15 years and had been the auxiliary's prestdent, died Sunday of an apparent heart attack while on vacation in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She was 72. The Elkridge Estates resident joined the auxiliary in 1973, three years after it was formed. Dorothy Towner, now its president, called Mrs. Fenhagen "one wonderful lady, very kind, very upbeat about everything." Born in Hamilton, Bermuda, where her father was mayor, she was a graduate of Penn Hall Junior College in Chambersburg, Pa.

In 1944, she married F. Donald Fenhagen a sergeant in a Maryland National Guard field artillery unit stationed in Bermuda. They moved to his hometown of Baltimore in 1945. A sister of Mrs. Fenhagen and two friends from Bermuda also married Baltimoreans in the Guard unit, and another sister married a man she met while visiting them in Baltimore.

Mrs. Fenhagen frequently visited Bermuda, where in 1953 she was presented to Queen Elizabeth. Services were to be held at 11 a.m. today at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 5603 N. Charles St.

Her survivors, in addition to her husband, are two sons, F. Donald Fenhagen Ill of Baltimore and William E. Fenhagen of Pound Ridge, N.Y.; a daughter, Pamela F. Corckran of Baltimore; and four grandchildren. James D.

Anthony Carozza set up an annual Christmas garden for patients, relatives and friends. Secours hospitals. He was named a coroner in Baltimore City in 1939, was a physician for the State Athletic Commission from 1941 until 1944 and then for three years for the State Insurance Department. In 1947, he became a part-time physician for the accident clinic of complications of heart disease at Carroll County General Hospital in Westminster. He was 81.

The Westminster resident retired in 1976. He had worked for the railroad in Baltimore, Union Bridge and Hagerstown since 1938. Born in Altoona, where he graduated from high school, he moved to Maryland after serving in the Army here in the 1930s as a sergeant in an artillery unit. Services were to be held at 11 a.m. today at Pritts Funeral Home in Westminster.

Survivors include his wife, the former Evelyn L. Gardner; a son, J. Robert Grove; and three grandchildren, all of Westminster. The family suggested memorial contributions to the Building Fund of the Westminster United Methodist Church, where Mr. Grove was a longtime member.

Theodore J. Tremper Business owner Theodore J. Tremper III, a Ca- tonsville resident who owned an automobile supplies company, died Sunday at Greater Baltimore Medical Center of liver failure. He was 46. He married Kathleen McFadden in 1971 and they settled in Charles Village, where they restored an old house.

He arranged Charles Village neighborhood picnics at Leakin Park, held a Friday night poker game as a member of the Charles Village Men's Club and was active in the Charles Village Association. Mr. Tremper, who moved to Catonsville in 1987, started his company, Centerline Sales, last year. Earlier, he had worked for Central Automotive Warehouse, Roberts Brothers and Chesapeake Rim and Wheel Distributors Inc. The Baltimore native was a graduate of St.

William of York School, Mount St. Joseph High School where he was a lineman on the football team and was on the track team and Towson State University.
