IO.O A. J. A. Henry Five Loses Overbrook Court Fray, 27-24 After several weeks of holding many conferences to decide on a neutral floor, Richardson and J. A.

Henry finally got together last night for their third and deciding game for the Overbrook Church Basketball League championship. Richardson captured the title by downing J. A. Henry, 27 to 24, at 60th and Walnut sts. The teams were well matched, and the score ran evenly throughout the play.

Eight minutes of the opening period had been played before Tommy Humes dropped the first double-decker of the game, and J. A. Henry got off into a lead which it held until the half closed, leading by 14 to 9 at the intermission. TAKES LEAD Richardson started the second half with a rush and on baskets- by Henry Van Es, Bob Pitman and Marty Live-sey, assumed the lead. It was evened up On a foul toss by J.

A. Henry, but Richardson again rallied to gain a four-point advantage, which gave it its final lead. J. A. Henry drew within two points in the closing minutes, but Henry Van Es clinched the game for Richardson with his third two-pointer of the game.

It was the second straight Overbrook Church League championship for Richardson. RICHARDSON J. A. HENRY G. F.

"No more. No more," grunted Diogenes, and turning his back, he strode to his corner. And a most unusual chapter of fistic history had been repeated. Forte weighed 128 while Leon beamed 122. pounds.

FRANKIE CARTO WINS Later, Diogenes complained of a nose injury. The trouble seemed rather to lie in his heart, however. In a slashing battle of South Philadelphia feathers, Frankie Carto, 124 li, fought his way to an unanimous decision over Frankie Donato, 123, in the first of promoter Toppl's eight-round features. Yet the affair was so colorful and bitterly fought that they'll certainly meet again. With a salvo of head shots, hooks and crosses, Carto had the skinny left-hander all but knocked out in the first round.

He couldn't finish the job, as it turned out, and Donato came back with ripping rallies in the third, fourth and sixth to make it a close contest. DO DO WOODS VICTOR Then, Carto, face bruised and arms weary, spurted gallantly in the last two sessions to win the duel of former Inquirer A. A. champions. Do Do Woods, 150, local Negro, defeated Herschel Joiner, 147, once of Cincinnati, and now stationed at Aberdoon Proving Ground, in the top six-rounder.

Sergeant Johnny Guy, 150, U. S. Marines, halted Billy Williams, 150, a local Negro, at 1.53 of the third round. Turning pro, Joe D'Agostino, 139 Kensington, kayoed Edwin Reeves, 143. another lad from Aberdeen, at 1.43 of the second period.

The big crowd contributed to a net gate of $1805.47 for the privilege of witnessing a sparkling show. SUITS FOR DIVORCE BEGUN McAlpIn William vs. Kathleen Msry. Relleville Isahelle Agnes vs. John Robert.

MAY 8 10 A. M. SSHARP Sparring Mates To Join Dorazio Flanked by three husky sparring partners, Trainer Jimmy Wilson will leave today to join Gus Dorazio at Summit, N. at which training base the Philadelphia heavyweight will start boxing tomorrow in preparation for his 10-round contest with Harry Bobo, of Pittsburgh, at the Arena here on May 11. Wilson has secured Austin Johnson, Atlantic City; Odell Polee, California, and William Thomas, a local 210-pounder, to serve as sock absorbers in the Dorazio battle camp.

Johnson, who was '41 Inquirer A. A. sub-novice champion, recently turned professional. Without question the three big fellows comprise the finest set of spar-mates ever lined up for Dorazio's training. Not only Wilson but also the Philadelphian's manager, Joe Martino, is confident that Gus will be in excellent fighting trim for his, third engagement with Bobo.

The Dorazio-Bobo rivalry stands all-even at present, with each having won a decision in their Pittsburgh duels. However, the Sooty City heavy probably will be favored here on the strength of his recent one-round knockout of Lem Franklin. Promoter Herman Taylor repeated yesterday that the Dorazio-Bobo program will not be affected by West Philadelphia's practice blackout that night. While all the lights on the outside of the 45th and Market sts. building will be turned out from 10 to P.

the inside of the fight shop will be illuminated as usual. Little Offers Economy Plan For Sports PITTSBURGH, April 30 (A. George K.
