Curt was born on August 2, 1950 in Chicago and moved to Minnesota in 1973, where he was a computer scientist until he retired two years ago to the Columbia River Gorge to pursue his windsailing interest. He is preceded in death by his father Roland; survivors include his wife Anita of White Salmon, his mother Evelyn; and his brother Craig of Chicago; and numerous relatives and friends. A service was held on December 17, 2000 in White Salmon, WA. A Celebration of Life service will be held on December 27, 2000 in Mahtomedi, MN. Scribner was active in Real Estate, as well as many civic affairs in Chicago, and he was the founder of Scribner Company. Mrs. Judson was a graduate of The Shipley School and attended Northwestern University. She spent her summers at the family summer home in Fox Point, WI. She was actvie for years at Christ Church in Winnetka, and was a member and head of the Alter Guild.

He compiled and published an economic index to measure insurance claims costs. It is named the Masterson Index.

He married Cathryn A. Wolfe October 16, 1926. She preceded him in death August 2, 1957. He married Emma C. Turner October 10, 1959.

She survives. He is survived by two daughters, Cathryn (Wayne) Weinfurter of Land Lakes, and Mcridith Masterson of Palatine, IL. Kohlberg's father was a button salesman. She fell in love with and married her childhood sweetheart, the late Manfred Kohlberg, in 1934. Mrs. Kohlberg began selling women's accessories, making a name for herself in the male-dominated profession.

And at one time she tried running a health club called Inch By Inch years before health clubs became popular. Her husband died in 1958. When she was in her 60s, Mrs. Kohlberg opened Martha Kohlberg Party, Specialists, which manufactured and distributed high-end disposable party goods. The business grew quickly and Mrs.

Kohlberg came up with the idea to line paper tablecloths with a thin plastic lining. "We finally convinced her to retire, but she was always scheming to begin new businesses. You name it and she probably dabbled i in it. She didn't want to get bored," said Charles Krawitz. In the 1980s, Mrs.

Kohlberg moved to West Palm Beach, toil assist an ailing family member. She stayed there for 12 years before moving back to the Chicago area about 18 months ago, living in Lincolnwood. In her later years, Mrs. Kohlberg became an investor, most recently involved in technology stocks. She was also an avid bridge player.

Mrs. Kohlberg was a founding member and former sisterhood president of Congregation B'nai Torah of Highland Park, a lifetime member and former officer of Women's American ORT and a lifetime member of Hadassah.
