Newman was presented with a gift from the hostesses. At ten-thirty a two course supper was served in the dining room at a long table set for eight guests. Orange flowers and Mghted-orange tapers formed the centerpiece on the table, which was further decorated with small turkeys and Thanksgiving appointments. Miss Satterlee was assisted in serving by Miss Osa Fenn and Miss Harriet Ayres. who was evening.

George Sheeks. HAPPY HOUR CLUB HOLDS MEETING Members of the Happy Hour club met yesterday afternoon with Mrs. G. O. Lovre at her home, 519 Fifth street northeast.

Mrs. A. T. Crown was a at the meeting. The afternoon was spent in tying a quilt.

In a guessing contest Mrs. C. H. Pacquette won the prize, and the club prize' went to Mrs. Arthur Burger.

The hostess served refreshments at four-thirty. She was assisted by Florence Lovre and Susie Almos. that evening. After the dinner, which was a complete surprise to Mr. and Mrs.

M. D. Whisman, end Mrs. Cave. CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL AT YEOMAN MEETING Following the meeting of the Brotherhood of American Yeomen Tuesday even- tag in Labor Temple, a children's festival and supper were given.

Mrs. Mary Wilson had charge of the program on which were number of recitations, piano numbers, and Contests for the children were won by Joseph Zok, Robert Zartman, Irene Bonesteel, and Donna Nelson.
