Born Feb. 19, Akron, Ohio, he wasthe son of the late Charles A. andMary Ellen (Cross) Moore and had lived in Greensburg before moving to Atwater 54 yearsago. Mr. Moore had been a truck driver with Molder Trucking.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atwater, and was a 32nd Degree Mason. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
