Christine Jean (Lewellen) Helber, 45, lost her brave 20-month battle with cancer on May 24, 2015. Born November 20, 1969 in Columbus, Ohio, the only child of Bernardine (Gallagher) Lewellen of Columbus, Ohio and Thomas Edgar Lewellen of Titusville, Florida.

Chris graduated from Whitehall-Yearling High School, Whitehall, Ohio in 1988 and at various times attended Columbus State Community College and DeVry Institute. She married the love of her life Charles (Chuck) Lee Helber, father of her beloved daughter, Caitlyn Rose Helber, in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 1, 2006. She previously worked at Nationwide Insurance in Columbus, Ohio and Indianapolis, Ind. After relocating to Stuart in 2007, she was employed at Florida Power and Light in Juno Beach where she prospered through various promotions and developed many professional and close personal relationships. Along with a can-do attitude, Chris' caring, bright and witty personality contributed to her success; she was considered by many to be the sunshine in their lives.

When Chris became ill, her co-workers and friends formed a group of tutu-wearing "Helber's Angels'' and participated in annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure events. They also supported her with chemo visits, get-togethers including a wig party, numerous gifts and cards and daily calls and texts. Outside of work, Chris, along with Chuck and Caitlyn, enjoyed boating, getting together with their many friends, and were avid Ohio State fans. Christine is survived by her beloved husband, Charles Lee Helber; her precious 14-year-old daughter, Caitlyn Rose; her two precious stepdaughters, Devon Leigh age 22 and Hannah Marie age 16; mother, Bernardine Lewellen, Columbus Ohio; father, Thomas Edgar Lewellen, Titusville, Florida; mother-in-law, Garnet Marie Helber, Columbus, Ohio; brother-in-law, Daniel Keith (Cheryl) Helber, Columbus, Ohio; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, all beloved but too numerous to mention; and many close friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Jean Natalie Gallagher, Barberton, Ohio; grandfather, James John Gallagher, Barberton, Ohio; father-in-law, Walter Eugene Helber, Whitehall, Ohio; uncle, Dennis James Gallagher, Stow, Ohio; nephew, Thomas Jeffery Helber, Columbus, Ohio; and cousins, William Robert Charnes and Joseph John Domonkas, both of Akron, Ohio. He was born in Akron on June 1, 1933 to parents, Joseph and Lena Reinart. He graduated from Hower High School in 1951, where he studied aviation, auto mechanics and woodworking. Gerald proudly served his country as a U.S. Navy and U.S. Army veteran.

He was a devoted brother, husband, father, and grandfather. Gerald retired from Babcock Wilcox in management of the Labor Relations Department, a career that spanned for 47 years. He was a master machinist, woodworker, and an avid train collector; enjoying fishing, camping and spending time with his family. Our dad was always willing to help his family and friends when ever there was a need. Gerald leaves his children, Laura (Mike) Hoover, Michele (Jeff) Fisher, Gerald (Paula) Reinart, and Christopher (Elizabeth) Reinart; ten grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; sisters, Lois Vincent, Ledith (Jim) Crabtree, Debbie (Walt) Ruggles; and his faithful Jack Russell "Skip." We will miss you dearly Dad, Grandpa, Papa Choo-Choo.

He was the only child of Alberta and Arden Schlauch and was born in Akron, Ohio. He was a life long resident of Akron.

He graduated from Buchtel High School in 1962 and worked with his father in the family business, Stadium Body Shop (a large truck repairalignment firm), until it was sold in 1980. He then owned a small diner for a time, then was an independent contractor for several courier services in the area. He will be remembered for his fondness of debate actually argument and his gruff persona, while all along he was warm and fuzzy inside. Norman Kempel, 98, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away at his home on May 27, 2015.

Born in Akron on July 8, 1916 to Clarence C. and Em- a (Rohner) Kempel, he attended St. Mar-t a Grade School and Stow Elementary Schools graduating from Stow High School. He also attended John Carroll, Kent State and the University of Akron. In April of 1941 he married Ethel Albright in Atlanta.

Norm and Ethel have been Cuyahoga Falls residents since 1947. They were charter members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish where Norm served on the first Lay Council. He was devoted to the music ministry and was active as a song leader in the choirs at IHM and at St. John's in Pasadena, Florida. He worked ten years at Goodyear as a cashier in the Aerospace Division and in Special Projects for Goodyear International.

In 1951 Norm returned to Rohner Distributors of Akron, the family paper business, and was active for 30 years in local management and at the national level with the National Paper Trade Assoc. and National Purchasing Management Assoc. Following the acquisition of the Rohner Co. by International Paper he retired to establish a plastic stamping business known as Badgeman Akron and later as Recognition Express from which he retired in 1983. Norm was an active member in Optimist Clubs in Cuyahoga Falls and St.

Petersburg, Florida since 1961. He served two terms as Lt. Governor in Optimist International and five years in various appointed offices for the Ohio District Optimists. His survivors include his wife, Ethel (Albright) of 74 years; daughters, Karen Lee Newshutz-Stilwill of Cleveland, Christine Rees of England, and Kathy Burkle of Boston; grandchildren, Laurie Newshutz of Cleveland, David Newshutz of Cuyahoga Falls, Michael Haines of Melbourne Australia, Christopher Haines of England, Elizabeth Adams of England, Katie Burkle of Washington, D.C., and Sarah Kranz of Boston; and many greatgrandchildren; sisters, Mary Lou (John) McHugh and Ruth (Philip) Booth, both of Springfield, Va. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and David.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, June 3rd at 12 Noon at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, (1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls) where friends may call from 11 until Mass time. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 330-784-3334 Doris Elizabeth Patterson Doris Elizabeth Patterson, age 87, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Doris was born September 26, 1927 in Akron, OH to the late Michael and Marie (Albert) Boyd. She graduated from Gar field High School in Akron, OH in 1945, attended Akron University and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi a Business Sorority. She was a Program Director for Mended Hearts, a nationwide support network for heart patients and their caregivers, and wrote articles for the Akron Beacon Journal advocating for social and governmental issues. She stood up for God's truth.

Growing up she enjoyed horseback riding, roller coasters, singing, dancing, and was very active in the Youth Group at Grace Methodist Church in Akron where she met her husband. Doris, being the pastor's wife, shared many responsibilities at Poe United Methodist Church in Bible Studies, Women's Ministry, choir, and teaching. She wanted people to know Jesus. Doris formerly worked for Goodyear and Firestone as an Executive Secretary and retired from Babcock and Wilcox. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Doris truly exemplified a "Proverbs 31 Woman." She is survived by her husband, James, to whom she was married 63 loving years; daughters: Jamie Wood of Akron, Denise (Les) Henderson of Graham, NC, and Cathleen (James) Dehn of Boston MA; grandchildren: Danielle, Matthew, Christopher, Cassondra, Jesse, Benjamin and Alexander; greatgrandchildren: Samantha, Savannah, Braydon and Mason; and niece, Joannie Ciccolini of Hudson, OH. Doris was preceded in death by her brother, Albert Boyd. Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 2, from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Waite Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court Medina.

Morgan Richard D. Morgan, age 60, of Uniontown, passed away on Friday morning May 29, 2015. He was born in Warren, Ohio on September 18, 1954 to the late William and Joyce Morgan and graduated from Warren Howland High School where he met Cynthia Cobett. They married on May 17, 1975. He attended Youngstown State studying music and graduated from Akron University earning his BS in Mechanical Engineering.

Richard worked for UTC Aerospace Systems as a systems engineer. He was passionate about airplanes and enjoyed his bi-yearly fishing trips. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church where he sang in the choir. He is missed and dearly loved by his wife, Cindy; son, Noah of Las Vegas; siblings, Barb (Bill) Latham of Ashland, Diane Morgan of Negley, Tom (Kate) Morgan of Niles, Gail Nolfi of Warren; mother-in-law, Norma Cobett of North Canton; siblings-in-law, Ed (Judy) Cobett of Tom (Jan) Cobett of Strongsville, Maricel Cobett of his faithful friend, Chocolate Lab Nick; and nieces, nephews and friends, especially his church choir family. She will be greeted by her father and mother, Vaughn and Ethel (Heilman) Murray; her sister, Emma Jean (Murray) Petry; daughters, Diana Lynn and Linda Morrison and her loving husband, John William (Bill) Morrison. Betty was born June 9, 1924 in Akron, Ohio and lived there until 1984. Betty lived with her husband in Ft. Myers Florida for ten years and alone for 11 years in Linville, North Carolina and then returned to Akron to be with her family. She was a member of the Montezame N.C. Baptist Church and most recently a member of West Hill Baptist Church in Akron, Ohio.

Hogston Sr. Donald J. Hogston, age 83, passed away on May 27, 2015. He was an Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. Don was employed at PCA in Rittman, Ohio for 35 years.

He was a member of the VFW Post 1089 in Wads- worth. Don enjoyed woodworking, walking and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Aggie; sons, Donald (Kathy), Tony, Michael and Rick; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
