Tatem, 62, of Mcdford, the founder and board chairman of Plastic Suppliers in Blackwood. Mr.

Tatem, who lived in South Jersey most of his life, died of a heart attack Saturday at Garden State Community Hospital in Marlton. Mr. Tatem, who was born in Had-donfield, moved to Medford in 1953. After serving in the Army during World War II, he received his undergraduate degree in business administration in 1949 from the University of Denver. There he met Hetty Jones, whom he married in 1948.

Mr. Tatem started his plastics business in 1952 and was the former company president. His business, which manufactures Polyflex and distributes sheet plastic, began distributing its products throughout Europe in 1983. He was a charter member of the Faith United Presbyterian Church in Medford, founded in 1962, and was a former elder and treasurer of the church. He was a state officer for the New Jersey Christmas Tree Growers Association and president of the Indian Acres Christmas Tree Farm in Medford.
