services were held at the Errington Memorial Chapel on September 7th. Interment followed in the Fairmont Cemetery. The arrangements for Sinforosa Padilia were under the direction of the Errington Memorial Chapel. Marie £. lacobelli, age 70, died on September 7th at Miners' Colfax Medical Center.

She was born on November 23, 1925 in Parkview, NM, the daughter of the late Fidel and Carmen Salazar. She was a long time resident of Raton. She was a former member of Beta Sigma Phi and the Hesperian Club. She was a member of St. Patrick's St.

Joseph's Catholic Church. Survivors include, husband, Arthur C. lacobelli of the family home; daughter, Michelle Mancuso and husband Louis of Dallas, TX; sons, Ronald lacobelli and wife Janet of Raton, Kenneth lacobelli of Denver, CO, and Stephen lacobelli of Dallas, TX; sisters, Emma Bielas of San Jose, CA, Lucille Wojta of Denver, CO, and Toni Richards of San Diego, CA; brother, Ross Salazar of Lincoln City, OR; grandchildren, Ashley and Samantha lacobelli of Raton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary was held September llth at St. Patrick's Church recited by Reverend Deacon Thomas Alderette.

Solemn Mass of the Resurrection was held September at the church with Father James L. Vance as the Celebrant. Burial followed in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.

The arrangements for Marie E. lacobelli were under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home. Augustine Vigil, age 68, died September 5 at his home in Springer. He was born on March 1, 1928 in Abbott, NM, the son of the late Solomon and Maria Vigil. He was a carpenter and a long time resident of Springer.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Solomon and Don Vigil and by a niece, Cynthia Ramirez. He is survived by daughters, Bernadette Martinez and husband Albert, Penny Coppedge and husband Barney, all of Cimarron, and Elena Romero and husband Leroy of Raton; sisters, Delia Griffin of Tennessee, Margaret Aku and Betty Blea of California, and Frances Ramirez of Albuquerque; brother Abelino Vigil of California; niece, Denise Ramirez of Springer; nephew, Ryan Ramirez of Ft. Carson, CO; special friends, Lillian Duran of Raton and Cornells Sisnerps of Cimarron; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous other nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial was held September 9th at the funeral home chapel with Father John Brasher as the Celebrant. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be at a later date. The arrangements for Augustine Vigil were under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home. William "Bill" Glenn, age 54, died September 5th in Raton.

He was born on March 1, 1942 in California. He was a long time resident of Raton. Survivors include, father, Larry Glenn of Raton; mother Muriel Glenn of West Covina, CA, sisters, Judy Ramirez and husband John of West Covina, CA, Vicky Glenn of West Covina, CA, and Chrissy Butt and husband Jimmie of Raton; brothers, Larry Glenn, Jr. and wife Willie, and Bobby Glenn all of West Covina, CA; grandmother, Irene Martinez of Raton. He is also survived by his special family Juanita and Kendra Perkovich, Debra Paiz and husband John, all of Raton, Albert Ortega and wife Unis of Albuquerque, David Trujillo and wife Lorrie of Temecula, CA, and Fred Encinias of Raton.

Funeral services were held on September 8th in the chapel of the Aiderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home with Reverend Wilferd Cor- rosco officiating. The arrangements for William "Bill" Glenn were under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home. James A. Whited, age 93, passed away on September 7, 1996 at his home in Raton. He is survived by his wife, Leila E.

(Taylor) Whited of Raton; two nephews, Greeley Myers and his wife Bobbye of Las Cruces and Paul Myers of Albuquerque; and one niece, Helen and her husband Lynn Menefee of Alamogordo, NM. Jim was born May 20, 1903 in Cambridge, IL to Charles and Amy Whited. Jim traveled west with is parents to Raton and graduated from Raton High School in 1922 and from Colorado College in Colorado Springs in 1926. He started in business with his father in 1926 in the Whited and Son Jewelry Gold and Silversmith. He sold the business in 1977.

Jim was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. In 1927 he joined the Raton Rotary Club and later became president in 1934 and 1935.
