Miss Emmons And 1 H. A. Merten Marry In St. Louis The wedding Miss Janice Emmons of St. Louis, formerly of Mexico, and daughter Mr.

and Mrs. Russell Emmons of this city, and Harold Arthur Merten, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. H.

Merten of St. Louis, took place at high noon Saturday at the Centenary Methodist. church in St. Louis. The pastor, Dr.

Frank C. Tucker, former pastor of the Mexico Methodist church, performed the ceremony. Mrs. Clyde Cooper was the bride's only attendant, and Albert Walter served as best man. Both attendants reside in St.

Louis. After an unannounced wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Merten will be at home at 4311 McPherson street in St. Louis.

Stuarts Entertain For Illinois Guests Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Stuart and family entertained at a dinner on the lawn at their home Sunday 'complimenting Mr.

and Mrs. H. W. Stuart and sons, Garry and Dennis, of Bloomington, Ill. Guests other than the honorees were: Mr.

'John's Lutheran church met Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kothe near Mexico. The meeting was called to order by the president, Merle Miller, and the Rev. G.

P. Dobberfuhl read Hebrews, Each member answered roll call with "Bible verse. Mr. and Mrs. Coonse and family left Monday for their home in the west after a three weeks' visit here. Miss Gooch Home From Overseas Visit Miss Gloria Gooch of Los Angeles, who 1s just home from a five weeks' visit in Italy and Germany as the guest of Miss Alice Crocker, spent the weekend here with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs.

John A. Smith. The Smiths drove to St. Louis Monday, accompanied by Miss Gooch, who boarded a' plane for Los Angeles. While abroad, Miss Gooch and Miss Crocker, formerly of Los Angeles, visited here, visited in France and Switzerland.
