1 KRWTX, June 15. In an effort to solve the problem of aerial navigation in an aeroplane of his own make, Sorensen, the village blacksmith at this town, yesterday afternoon fell 3300 feet, and lives to tell of his awful experience. While the steel braces of the aeroplane were broken and twisted. Sorensen did not have a single bone broken. Half an hour after the accident he was making plans for a new aeroplane.

Hundreds "Wntclietl Him Several hundred people drawn to town by the announcement that Sorensen was foing to "fly" in the machine he had been working on for several months "watched him make the drop, clinging to the tangled wreck of the aeroplane which went wrong just as he was about to descend. Though his aeroplane did not -work it so broke the force of his fall that he was only stunned. Sorensen's machine is different from all others in that the start is made from a balloon. Sorensen attached his new fangled air navigator to an ordinary gas balloon and ascended to a height estimated at 35CJO feet. Then he cut loose from the balloon, hoping to make a gradual descent.

For the nest tew seconds Sorensen had about as thrilling an experience as falls to most village blacksmiths. Rudder Jnmmed as lie cut loose lie found the rudder of the aeroplane had become jammed and would not work, and lie was unable to guide the machine. It dropped like lead, turning over and over. Sorensen had the presence of mind to cling to the frame and lit in a sitting 3 we carry a full assortment. These 98c i ors.
