The tug General A. A. Humphreys yesterday placed red light on sunken scow at Goose Island. The steamer City of Macon lias been placed in dry dock at Boston to have new blade put on her propeller, having struck an obstruction on the outward passage. The steamer Jamestown, formerly of the Norfolk and Washington Steamship Company's fleet, has been sold to the Argentine Navigation Company and admitted to British registry.

She is a side-wheeler and was built especially for service between Washington and the Jamestown Exposition. The Jamestown was built at Newport News in 1906, and has a registered net tonnage of 700 tons.
