Sermons by a Sinner James lhenry Itark, the latest thing in altlterarv wray in Iloston, has broken out with a retroactive muckraking atulit that has set the Itack fay district squarely on its neck. James Henry allows that lien irankllin robbed the malls, that John i Hancock was asmuggler, Samuel ilAdlams a defaulter antd Patrick Henry a fourflush. IHowever harsh tiis Judgment may he ats tq John and Rain, I cannot help but believe that thle Boston historian has correctly described Patrick henry's nform. Hie says: "Patrick Henry was one of the monst, unrellaible men living.

He iha.l boeen ullccessively a storekeeper, a farmer and a shopkeeper, but he failed in all these pursuits anid bcame II bankrupt at 24. The'in he studied law a few weeks and practiced a few years. F'Inally, he emiharl kd i upon the stormy sea of polities. O(ne day he worked himself into a fine frenzy, and in a most dramatic manner demanded 'Llherty or although he had hoth freely at his disposal." I have always thought that Patrick was drawing for one more spade, hasing this opinion on the fact that lie netar imade anyl determined effort to necumllllato liberty or amass more than his Just share of death. Patrick Henry stood for one brief moment In the calcium, said his little piece, handed his manuscript to the editor of the Itoston W'hig, and went back to his dingy old law office, confident that the Imandpress and the chIuckle-headednoele of posterity would, gite him fame immortal, even if not Ilark chnps temporal.

I esIppose that P. Henry figured to himself that there was no sense in a silver tongue such as he going to the front and permitting at rude ltessian to practice position No. 3 of the btaynnet drill on him wheu there were plenty of uneducated ginks about who feared a public speech 10 it times as muc'h as iany sort of weapon wielded by a foroagn hireling, SSo Patrick remained at home and for liberty arul deathi In equal After years of waiting that EFENDANITS FREED BY JURY IDAHO MEN ACCUSED OP LAND FRAUDS ARE DECLARED NOT GUILTY OF CRIME.
