Chan McGlVnians ftnd Mrs. Paul Bobblln. Hoffman to the Public Mrs. Margaret Hoffman, Mercer County Home Economics advisor, attended a meeting yesterday of the Stltch-a-Blt Club at the home of Mrs. Robert Brown, Wasser Bridge Road, where she gave a demonstration of salads and refrigerator dishes.

Mtis. Hoffman will hold a general meeting all day Friday, Nov. 10, in assembly room of the Mercer Cofirthouse to demonstrate the use and other articles of Christmas decorations. Anyone Interested may attend. A meeting Nov.

21 at St. John's church, Mercer Road also will be open to the public when Mrs. Hoffman will instruct in re-painting chairs. This also will be an all-day wetting. Study Group I MM.

Paul Winter, 269 East Avenue, received members of the Tuesday as they continued study of "The Proper Study of Mankind" (Chase). The group will next week with Mrs. J. H. Mulvy, 42 Stewart Avenue.

Mrs. Brath Leader at Missionary Society Meet Mrs Peter Brat.h was leader at last night's meeting of the Women's Missionary Society, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, at Uio church parish house. "We Learn to Worship" was the subject for discussion, with Mrs. F. D.

Enterline, Mrs. M. M. McClure and Mrs. Thora Malmberg taking part.

Interspersing the talks were short musical interludes by Miss Elta Frederick followed by prayer. Miss Kate Thompson, president was in charge of business. A Christmas project sponsored by the Erie Conference Misionary Society to furnish blankets to the Home for the Aged in Erie was adopted for the local church by the society. Sister Sara Sassaman is director at the home. Fraternity Party, Livingston The Delta' Sigma Phi fraternity Thicl College, held a party last night at the fraternity house on the campus for the 16 men who were pledged Monday to the fraternity.

After a program of entertainment which included movies of the Wedding At Jackson Center Church Altar decorations of palms and ferns with white mums and the glow of lighted candles furnished the setting in the Jackson Center Presbyterian Church recently' for the marriage ceremony of Misa Helen Oakes, Jackson Center, and James Reither, Stoneboro. Rev. Clyde Barnes officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Norman Oakes, Jackson Center, and the bridegroom is a son of Mrs. James Reither, Stoneboro. Miss Winifred Wharton played appropriate nuptial melodies preceding the ceremony. Jack Barnes, cousin of the bride, sang "The Lord's Miss Ruth Oakes, the bride's sister, and Robert Shutt, brother-in-law of the groom, were attendants. Ralph and Charles Oakes, brothers of the bride, ushered.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a street length dress of brown over pink taffeta and carried an arm bouquet of pink roses centered with a corsage. A rhlnestone necklace, gift of the groom, completed her ensemble. Miss Oakes wore a light beige wool jersey dress, dark brown accessories and a corsage of yellow rose buds. A reception attended by 100 guests followed in the parlors of the church.

Presiding at the bride's which was overlaid with white linen and centered with a three-tiered wedding cake, were Mrs. Charles Oakes and Mrs. Robert Shutt. A week-end trip to Niagara Falls and Canada was taken by the newlyweds who are now residing at Mercer. Mr.

Reither is employed by the Reznor Manufacturing Mercer. Mrs. Reither is employed as operator by the Bel) Telephone Mercer. Wedding guests were from Mt Pleasant, Vandergrift, Zclienople Grove City, West Branch, Mich, and Warren, O. of Malta Hold Regular Meeting Queen Eunice Fritz presided at a regular meeting of the Dames of Malta Tuesday evening in Eagles' hall.

Henry Jaxtheimer, who was unable to attend because of a conflicting schedule. Mrs. Gates described many projects of the state and national federations including extension contests, composition prizes, special awards, young artists auditions and scholarships.

Mrs. Edwin A. Ltninger presided at a brief business meeting which included the report of Secretary Miss Doris Wland and Treasurer Miss Ethel Wise. Miss Carolyn Arnold, membership chairman, announced the following new members: Mrs. W.

H. Loch, Donald McClimans, Louise Herr, Millie Oillespie, Mrs. W. K. Miller and Mrs.

E. D. Patterson. Mrs. Robert Royal announced the Nov.

13 opening program and the spring concert of the Greenville Symphony. Miss Marion Gerberich reported the progress of choral work for the presentation of Handel's "The Messiah" Dec. 10 and urged a larger attendance. Mrs. Stanley Slange explained musical CARE packages and contributions were received for the club's-package.

Opening feature was the ringing of "Pennsylvania" with Mrs. D. T. Faries a't the piano. Closing feature was the hymn of the month "We Plough the Fields" with Charles P.

Mrs. Paul Shumaker and Miss Carolyn Arnold. The latter two presided at the lace-laid and candle-lit table. Senior Guild Activities The Senior Mothers' Guild, Zion's Evangelical and Reformed Church, met last evening in the home of Mrs. Warren Aubel, 25 Lancaster Avenue.

Mrs. Percy Hodge conducted a devotional program and Mrs. Chase Groce was in charge of business. Plans were made for the Christmas season, such as gifts to St. Paul's Old Folks' and Children's Homes, the adopted boy in Germany and Christmas boxes to be sent to sons in the service whose mothers arc Senior Guild members.

Mrs. Margaret Hoffman was guest speaker. She arranged many Christmas decorations for the home. Officers for 1951 were elected as follows: President, Mrs. Chase Groce; vice-president, Mrs.

Glenn Beckman; secretary, Mrs! George Beck; treasurer, MBS. Harry Saal. Refreshments were carried out in the Thanksgiving motif. As- sisting the hostess were Mrs. Earl Htibbard Mrs.

5. Troop 5 Troop 5 met Monday at the Presbyterian Cluirch. The meeting was opened with the Girl Scout promise. The group divided into patrols to work on badges. The meeting closed with the ft'icnd- ship circle.
