Five thousand people can comfortably hear the exercises, and it is no unusual sight to see many more than this number, hundreds standing back under the trees. Every souud uttered on the speakers' platform is sent out with great distinctness by a mammoth sounding-board which hangs just overhead. Of course the utmost deeorum is preserved within "The Circle," and signs upon every tree and every post admonish the ungodly visitor that he must not smoke, chew, spit, talk unnecessarily loud or make any other undue noise. One of the features of the camp which everybody must see is the model of the city of Jerusalem, which lies just back of "the pavilion, towards the beach. It is under a large circular building, open on all sides, and is a marvelous piece of ingenuity.
