Farewell Reception for Mrs. Rlsse Last night a surprise farewell reception was hold for Mrs. Fred Rlsse nt her homo on Acton avenue, Mr. nnd Mrs.

Risse and daughter, Ger alddlno Ipa'vo this week for Blr jmingham, Alabama to make their iutUro home. i Mrs. lllsse went to one of the neighbors to visit and during her ah sence, the ladles asembled at her home. She was later called on the telephone nnd Informed that a lady friend had called to visit her. Upon bur arrival hoino, she was com- 1 lotely surprised th find her friends nnd waiting for her.

The evening was spent very pleasantly socially. Mrs. John Smith made the presentation talk, present- Ing tho honofee -with a beautiful hand-made luncheon set, a gift from the ladles. At a later hour delicious refreshments which tho ladles had brought, were served. The Rlsse family have resided here for about five years, and during that time have made a wide circle of friends, who greatly regret their departure from our city.

Mrs. Rlsse was one ot the active members ot the Altar Society of St. Bernard's church. Mr. Rlsse leaves tonight for with Mrs.

Louis, Is visiting his daughter, Mrs. Earl Miles. Week-End Guett Mrs. TCdward Grasen ot Alton, has returned home' after being the weekend guest ot Mrs. Hllbert Juhlln.
