Hubbard Jr bread route salesman for Baking Company, was killed during a robbery Thursday at WesT Marquette Road and South Danjett Avenue. Mr. Hubbard had worked for Metz, which makes Holsum bread, for 20 years. He was a rsi-; dent of the Brainerd neighbor- hood. Survivors include his wife, Lea Andrea; six sons, Sherman HI, Terance, Toby, Shandre, Jason1 and Andre; his mother, Pansy; -three brothers; a sister; and eight' grandchildren.

A memorial serj vice will be held at 6 p.m. Friday in the Gatling's Funeral Home," 10133 S. Halsted St Bartle R. Herrick Bartle R. Herrick, 82, who" owned and operated Herrick's Flower Shop for 32 years, died-Sunday in Hinsdale Hospital." A' lifelong resident of Downers Grove, Mr.

Herrick served on that suburb's Park Board and tW board of the First Congregational Church of Downers Grove. He also-was an officer with the city's chamber of commerce. A local his-; tory buff, Mr. Herrick chronicled the offbeat tales of Downers Grove in a booklet called, "What Didn't Know About Downers Grove and Didn't Know Ask." Mr. Herrick served in thg, Army during World War II.

He taught floral arrangement at'ta' Grange Junior College. He is vived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, William and brother; and five grandchildren.
