Apt. Emmons G. Brandt, DDS, 77, died at 6 a.m. today in the Heritage House Nursing Home in Vandalia, where he had been for the past three weeks. A former resident of St.

Louis, he had lived in Alton for two years before moving to Vandalia. He was a dentist in St. Louis for approximately 30 years before retiring in 1958. He was born on Sept. 25, 1892 in St.

Charles County, Mo. Surviving are two sons, Daniel Alton, and John Baden, seven grandchildren; a brother, Eldon, Fulton, and two sisters, Mrs. Maude Gross, and Mrs. Mable Schowengerdt, both of St. Louis.

He also leaves nieces and nephews in the area. His wife, Opal, preceded him in death in 1954. Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Math Hermann Mortuary in St. Lou- Russell Russell JERSEYVILLE Visitation at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home for Mrs. Anna Marie Russell, widow of Charles W.

Russell, will be after 4 p.m. today. Mrs. Russell, 71, who lived at 1004 W. Pine died at 9:45 a.m.

Friday at the Jersey Community Hospital. She was born in Fieldon on Oct. 1, 1898 a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Boomer Minard. Survivors include five sons, John Russell, Kane; Alfred, Charles and Donald Russell, all of Jerseyville; and Clarence "Pat" Russell, Kane; two daughters, Mrs. Leona Roe, Jerseyville, Mrs.

Ester Branham, Delhi; two brothers, Curtis Minard. Warre, William Minard, Jerseyville; 24 grandchildren and seven grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents. she was preceded in death by two sons. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m.

Wilma G. Grindle off St. Paul, Minn. Visitation will begin after 4 p.m. Sunday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.

The body will be moved to the Funeral Home in Monday morning, where friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be conducted at the Emmons Funeral Home Tuesday. Burial will be in the May Chapel Cemetery in Lawrenceville. Johnesee Following an extended illness, Mrs.

Edith Taylor Johnesee, 72, of 221 Sycamore Carrollton, died at 1 p.m. Friday at Boyd Memorial Hospital in Carrollton shortly after admission. She was born in Greene on Sept. 9, 1897, the daughter of the late George and Jessie Hodgerson Taylor. She had lived in Carrollton for 21 years, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carrollton.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Prudence Robinson, Carrollton; two sons, Sam Long, Lakeland, and Dr. William Long, Creve Coeur, Ill. Her husband, Clarence Johnesee, preceded her in death in 1968, and one son also preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at the Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton at 2 p.m1.

Monday with the Rev. Jack Brown, pastor of the Kane Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the: Carrollton City Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Seitzinger Hallaway Dale Randle Seizinger, 50, of 807 George Wood River, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Alton Memorial Hospital at 11:15 p.m. Friday after he had suffered an apparent heart attack at his home. He was born in Lawrenceville, Ill. on Jan. 3, 1920.

the son of the late Elmer Seitzinger and Mrs. Olla Mae of Lawrenceville. lle was married on Dec. 21, 1939, 10 the former Rayburn McNeil, in Lawrenceville. They moved to Wood River in 1950.

After he came to the area, he was employed by the Laclede Steel Co. in the tube mill for 20 years. lle attended the May Church near Lawrenceville. and: was a member of the Steel Workers Union. In addition to his mother and Mini-bike stolen A Honda mini-bike, valued al $278, was stolen Friday morning from the home of George Rouk of 2201 Brown St.

in Alton. Ptmn. Fred Bright, who investigated the theft, said entry was gained through a broken window on the south side of the home leading into a walkbasement. Exit was through a basement door. No one was home at the time of the theft.
