The Arizona Repub I Phoenix, Sunday, Jan. 28,1968 GREER GARSON, left, Fred MacMurray and Geraldine Page star in "The Happiest Millionaire," now showing at the Palms. The movie also stars Tommy Steele, Lesley Ann Warren and John Davidson. Hopi Exhibit at Heard In coordination with the £Hof)i Arts and Crafts Exhibit, may be seen for the time this afternoon at the £Heard Museum, Bryon Har- Phoenix ethnologist, will £give a slide talk, "The Tra- Editional and Modern Life of Hopi." In his talk to be given at 2:00 and 3:30 in the Museum auditorium, 22 E. Monte Vista Road, Harvey will discuss recent changes in village life such as highways and development, and their effects.

He will also outline the famous Hopi ceremonies. As a special guest attrac- iion, Marshall Lomakema, Jlopi, of Shongopovi and Phoenix, will sing the Hopi Buffalo, Isleta Butterfly, and jlemez Buffalo Dance songs. I The Hopi Indians have lived least a thousand years in the general area which they how inhabit and many of their traditions point back far longer. The Hopi trade extensively jwith other tribes, in New Mexico and to the North, and their social dance songs reflect Navajo, Plains, Zuni, New Mexican, and even Japanese influences. Harvey, a leading research anthropologist of pueblo life and religion, has a Master's degree from the University of Mexico, is a technical consultant for the Museum of New Mexico, a former teacher of anthropology, and the writer of numerous publications in his field.

Harvey's most recent study of pueblo life with text and illustrations is to be published by the Museum of the American Indian, Heye Foundation, New York. Byron is active locally in Heard Museum projects. Today will be the final one to see the Hopi Arts and Crafts Exhibit. On display are silver jewelry, weaving, pottery, baskets, kachina dolls, and paintings by Michael Kabotie and other prominent Hopi artists. Fred and Alice Kabotie, who head the guild, will be accompanied in the West Gallery today by demonstrating artisans including, Otis Polelonema, weaver; Wally Sekayumptewa, silversmith; Hazel Yuyaheova, basket maker; and Garnet Pava- tea, potter.

29th Feb. 1st) (FORMERLY HIWAV MOUSE) JAM SESSION IN THE GEE DRAKE TRIO AND LOTS OF FRIENDS NO COVER NO MINIMUM PLT Plans 'Mary Sunshine' "Little Mary Sunshine," a musical comedy that spoofs old time operettas with a gentle hand, will be presented by Phoenix Little Theater Feb. 1 through 4 and Feb. 8 through 11 at Phoenix Theater Center, 25 E. Coronado Road.

The production is designed and directed by Olan K. Carson, the theater's resident director, and choreographed by Jean C. Campbell. Opening night and Sunday performances are scheduled for all other evening per- and 2:30 matinees are scheduled for Feb. 4 and 11.

The libretto, lyrics, and music of "Little Mary Sunshine," which enjoyed a two- year off Broadway run beginning in the fall of 1959, are all done by Rick Besoyan. Its appeal is in its affectionate evocation of the musical comedies of 40 or 50 years ago, when the male chorus knelt in adoration of the sweet heroine, and good was good and bad was bad. The leads in the PLT production have been double- cast. Little Mary will be al- ternatingly played by Mary Beth Armes and Chris Coates.
