is, Friday, the 13th could be a lucky day for Port Angeles arid Sequim. I say it could be a lucky day. By the time 10 p.tn. rolls around tonight, the Roughriders might find themselves with a lot of work to do and the Sequim Wolves might find the same thing. Wednesday we visited the Sequim wolves practice field and found coach Bill Harriman quite optimistic about his chances to win a couple of games this year.

"Wo havo 26 boys turning put and 11 art lottormen, but wo havo a long way to go to got in shape," Harriman said. The Wolves play in the jamboree with Forks and Port Townsend tonight at Port Townsend, then they have a rugged schedule. that includes Lakeside of Seattle, Central KitSap, Vashon, Bainbridge, North Mason, Port Townsend, the Roughriders and Forks. "Wo'll bo running tho spllt-T again this yoar," tho Sequim montor said, "but this yoar I think wo havo a fow boys that could roally make it go." Steve Callis, senior quarterback, and Cliff Echternkamp, a sophomore standout who did not play last year, are getting in shape after coming out late. They will nob i A A At BQ WA WMV be eligible for jamboree action, but they will give added strength to the team when they are ready next week.

It's evident that the Wolves will have more beef. Here's a probable starting lineup for tonight: Robinson (5-11, 165, sr.) and Bill Hahn (64, 166, Millet (6-1, 165, jr.) and Miko Schado (64, 239, Lynch (5-7, 163, and Al Grail (5-10, 163, Blako (5-8, 178, Hull (5-8, 163, Herman (54, 180, sr.) and Gary Gtonski (5-iO, 160, Swanson (5-11, 171, or Larry Honog (5-11, 172, Sequim looks to have a lot of spirit and hustle and Harriman, along with assistant Ron Newton, is working the boys hard. Sequim will be better this year! The Port Angeles Roughriders went through picture taking sessions last night on the practice field. The players that will represent Port Angeles tonight at Siiverdale will be inexperienced in actual football competition and will have4o depend on desire to get them through the first action. The Roughriders will probably start five juniors at SilveWaie tonight.

The initial unit will probably have Al Womac and Peacock at ends. Peacock is a senior right end, while Womac a confer loft end, tackle and Womac has looked good in drills this wook. George Braly and Tox Margraves will open at tackles irgravM is a senior, 6-2 and 195, while Braly is a junior, 6,2 and 235. Tho guards will bo Larry Simkins and Darwin Bui lock, both juniors and junior Ed Bedford will be at center. Simkins is 170, Bullock 160 and Bedford is an even 200 pounds.

Tho will havo oithor Gary Kerr or Bob Lovoll at quarterback. Both aro small and deceptive, both can pass, but Kerr tho senior and Lovoll the junior. Kerr picked up a lot of knowledge from watching Jon Rolinei last year and could surprise. I alfba bo Jack Boyd or Bill Thompson at loft half, with Don Harrison at wingback. Boyd is a 5-10, 180 pound junior and Thompson is a 5-7, 152 pound junior.

Harrison is a senior, 5-9 and 170. The fullback will bo Jim Hunt. Jimmy is 200 pounds and ho stands but 5-8. Ho runs like a small tank. He's backed up by juniors Bernie Floret and John Speaker.

Dean Messersmith, Pete Buck, Jim Enos and Art Sell are due to see a lot of defensive action and Chuck Boyd will handle the punting chores.
