Mrs. Halverson, president of the Washington State IFYE advisory committee reported that the.group had accepted the invitation to Ctellam County for their fill meeting to be held in October. Mrs. Halverson also reported Mr. and Mrs.

Harley. Witherow and family will host an IFYE from Venezuela In September. Clallam County 4-H Camp will be held at Deception Pass July 22 to 26. All members planning to attend are asked to contact Mrs. Halverson at Fr.

4-3855 so transportation may be arranged by July 19. Miss Janet Fletcher will attend as a leader as will Mrs. Eugene Halverson. A weekend vegetable training meeting will be conducted at the home of Oscar Peterson July 30 at 1 p.m. Livestock judging, garden and home grounds tour will be conducted Aug.

6 at 9:33 a.m. at the Arthur Munson farm. Members are reminded to bring a sack lunch. Next council meeting will be Aug. 20 at 8 p.m.

They were host family years Wayne Nienman, IFYE from Indiana, stayed here for three weeks. I am learning to embroider with a treadle sewing machine.

One of iny host sisters, Arcelina, does (beautiful embroidery work. She is a 4-H Leader here and is teaching her club members to embroider. The food is delicious. For breakfast we have bread cir eggs and coffee. For lunch and dimmer rice, black beans, meat.

We also eat much lettuce, tomatoes, and a corn meal dish. 1 fried chicken for them and have ibaked dinner rolls twice. They were very interested when I formed the crescent rolls. I attended a joint 4-H club ing in a nighbcri-ng town. After the meeting we saw what the girls are making for sewing projects.

The pin cushions end aprons are to my sister made last year in the State of Washington. Every Thursday they have a dub meeting with the county agent but iihey don't seem to be working on 'their projects now. 1 have had very little difficulty communicating with the family and friends. At first I used my dictionary much of the time but now only a few times. When il first arrived I had to ask everyone to speak slowly but now I can usually understand the conversations.

and Mrs. Arvil Silcox and family is their niece, Marilyn Silcox, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Silcox of Masa. Mr.

and Mrs. Harry Sackett and Mr. and Mrs. Verlain Sackett attended the funeral of Earl Sack- 'ett in Elma last Thursday. Mr.

Sackett is the father of Harry and grandfather of Verlain. Mrs. Thomal Braithwaite has returned after having had surgery four weeks ago. Terry Pederson, son of Mrs. Paul Woodside of Port Angeles, received his discharge from the service the first of July.

Mrs. Ed Tuttle and daughter are visiting several days with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Eversman. Mr.

Tuttle, known by many in Forks, is a patient at University of Oregon Medical School Hospital in Portland. He enjoys hearing from friends. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Lamkin spent the Fourth visiting and fishing at Ncah Bay.
