In Orthodox Church Ruttiger-Popovich Rites Kathy Jean Ruttiger became the bride of David Robert Popovich in a Saturday ceremony in the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church of Galveston. Parents of the nuptial couple are Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hoffman Ruttiger Jr. and Mr.

and Mrs. Bob Popovich, all of Galveston. Archmandrite Charles Anastassiou and the Rev. Constantine Pazalos officiated. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a designer gown of crystal white chiffon featuring a fitted bodice overlaid with beaded Alencon lace, an Elizabethan neckline and jull bishop sleeves.

The full chiffon skirt swept into a chapel length train. Her fingertip mantilla was completely outlined in Alencon lace and was held by a Camelot of white peau. She carried a cascade bouquet of white stephanctis, tropicana roses, gypsophelia and assorted greenery centered with a white orchid. Dee Dee Ruttiger, sister of the bride, of Galveston was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Gayla Wilson, Darcy Walsh, Mary Rector, cousin of the bridegroom, and Susie Ruttiger, cousin of the bride, all of Galveston.

They wore sleeveless gown of green polyester topped with long capes of a sheer floral Drint. Mitchell Kovacevich, cousin of the bridegroom, of Galveston was the best man. Groomsmen were Eddie Ruttiger, brother of the bride, David Gonzales, Sam Popovich, cousin of the bridegroom, and Michael McDonald, cousin of the bridegroom, all of Galveston. Ushers were Carl Letinich and Bob Rector of Galveston. The reception was held at the Elks Lodge.

Serving in the house party were Terese Adkinson, Tricia Rector, Stephanie Popovich, Mary Mullen, Patty Vasquez and Mary Litzmann. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon H. Ohlerich of Cranford, N.J. The Rev.

Joseph Wade performed the Aug. 6 ceremony. Diane Morelli of Somerville, N.J., was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Marti Wright and Marilyn Hannigan. Michael Hannigan, brother of the bride, was the best man.

Groomsmen Patti Haardt Is Showered Patti Kay Haardt, bride- elect of Van Willey, was honored with three bridal showers recently. A bridal lea was held for her in the home of Ruth Dawson. Assisting as hostesses were Barbara Jannasch, Barbara Klyng and Susan Clackley. Approximately 45 guests attended. A miscellaneous shower was held in the home of Elizabeth Fernea in Austin.

Co-hostesses were Sabra Webber and Dor. Victorine C. Abboud. Some 25 guests attended. Another miscellaneous shower was held in the parish hall of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

Hostesses were Bertha Carey, Eleanor Spangle, Lillian Poole, Judy Givens, Ruth Saunders and Charlotte Macik. There were 30 guests. The Haardt-Willey wedding is planned for Sept. 17 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church of La Marque. AND MRS. WILLIAM H. OHLERICH The Former Cynthia Lynn Hannigan The wedding of Carol Anna Salisbury and William Phillip Orion Coffman was solemnized Saturday in the First Baptist Church of Galveston. Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs.

Clifford Salisbury of Galveston and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wallace Coffman of New Braunfels, formerly of Galveston. The Rev. Grayson Glass officiated.

Music was provided by Mrs. Robert Thorn, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Bill McClaran, sister of the bridegroom, vocalists, Mrs. David Anderson, cousin of the bridegroom, pianist, and Mrs. Herbert Sharp, aunt of the bridegroom, organist.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of cyrstal white organza in an empire style featuring an illusion yoke of Belgium embroidered tulle, a high stand-up collar of Cluny lace and full bishop sleeves. A deep flounce encircled the skirt which swept into a chapel length train. Her jewelry included the wide gold wedding band of her maternal great- grandmother, Anna Cook Mefford, which she wore on her right hand. Her chapel length veil of illusion was completely edged in Cluny lace and cascaded from a bandeau of lace and beaded medallions. She carried a bouquet of white gardenias with yellow roses, gypsophelia and English ivy.

Mrs. Jerry L. Johnson, sister of the bride, of Galveston was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lea Ellen Humphries of Galveston, Mrs. John Kohlhoffer and Daniels of Beaumont, Charlotte Crouch of Houston and Pattv Mc- Murtry of Eola.

Wendy Kay Wiltshire of Texas City was the flower girl. The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Joseph Wallace Coffman of Hitchcock, brother of the bridegroom, and Theodore Ward Conerly, step-brother of the bridegroom, Jerry Lee Johnson, brother-in- law of the bride, Ronald Thomas Green and Larry E. Thompson, all of Galveston. Raymond Eugene Wiltshire of Texas City was the ringbearer.

Ushers were Steve Sharp, cousin of the bridegroom, and James Angle III of Galveston, Jack Treadaway of La Porte and David Anderson of Houston. The reception was held in Fellowship Hall of the church. Serving in the house party were Mrs. Herbert Sharp, Mrs. Jack Treadaway, Mrs.

Frank Land, Mrs. Kay Coffman, Denise Keller, Linda Sharp and Mrs. Robert A. Thorn. After a wedding trip to Acapulco, Mexico, the couple will be at home in Galveston.

The bride is a graduate of Ball High School and Galveslon College, where she received an associate degree in nursing. She is employed as a staff nurse at the Child Health Center of the University of Texas Medical Branch. The bridegroom is also a graduate of Ball High School. He received a bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Houston and is employed as manager of banquets and catering for the Flagship Hotel. Peter's Albright-Wheaton Rites Eileen Marie Albright and LeRoy A. Wheaton exchanged nuptial vows Friday in St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church of Galveston. Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs.

Robert Harold Albright of Galveston and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence A. Wheaton of Texas City. The Rev.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a designer gown of candlelight peau de soie and chiffon featuring a fitted bodice with an Elizabethan neckline of peau de soie and bishop sleeves. Narrow bands of peau de soie accented the waistline and cuffs. Two bands of peau de soie encircled the hemline of the full chiffon skirt which swept into a chapel train. She carried a cascade bouquet of ivory stephanotis, ivory Jack Straws, glamelias, gyp- sofelia, pothos ivy and curly locks English ivy. Mrs. James W. Hinton sister of the bride, of Galveston served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lisa Albright and Marian Albright, sisters of the bride, of Galveston and Lori Wheaton, sister of the bridegroom, of Texas City.

Louis McBride of Texas City was the best man. Groomsmen were Len Wheaton, brother of the bridegroom, of Bacliff, Randy Mason of Texas City and Dale Streets of Alta Loma. Ushers were Kyle Albright, brother of the bride, of Galveston and Troy Faircloth, brother-in- law of the bridegroom, of Texas City. The reception was held in Ashton Villa.
