After having lived in that city for more than 30 years, she had been re--siding in North Ft. Myers, Fla. Mrs. Gillespie had worked as an administrator for the American Red Cross after graduating from St. Louis University.

Richard Daignault Richard Daignault, 63, an executive with Hilton Hotels died Saturday in Lake Forest Hospital Mr. Daignault was the director of national sales accounts for Hilton. He recently received an associate of the year award from the Chicago Society of Association Executives. Mr. Daignault received a bachelor's degree from St.

Francis College in Loretto, and served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1952 until 1956. Survivors include his wife, Mary; a son, Richard A. a daughter, Pamela Gleeson; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m.

Wahrer, a native of Waukesha, was a carpenter for more than 50 years, and had lived in Glenview for more than 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Gretchen; three daughters, Anne Kiesewetter, Carol Arteman and Joan Butler; two sons Joseph J. and Mike; a sister; a brother; nine grandchildren; and 14 greatgrandchildren. Salovaara, 77, a former village manager of Oak Lawn, died June 13 in Jenningston Farm, W.Va. Mr. Salovaara retired to West Virginia in 1989 after a career in municipal and county management including service as village manager of Oak Lawn from 1963 to 1971. Mr. Salovaara, a World War veteran, earned degrees in law and civil engineering in 1950 from the University of Cincinnati.

He received a master's degree in public administration in 1951 from the University of Denver. He served a term as president of the Oak Lawn chapter of Rotary International. Survivors include his wife, Mary Katharine Pratt; four sons, Lauri Mikael, Erik, Jonn and Kristian; two daughters, Kaarina and Katharine; two sisters; and nine grandchildren. Services were held June 15 in West Virginia. John A.

Piper John A. Piper, 87, retired personnel director of the former Wisconsin Steel Works in Chicago and a veteran ham radio operator, died Sunday in his longtime residence in the Beverly neighborhood. Mr. Piper remained active during his retirement writing a newsletter for a group of retired steel executives that he organized and pursuing a boyhood hobby of operating ham radio station W-9-DKA. A native of New Holstein, he is survived by his wife, PINCENTE Helen C.
