Mrs. Stowers goes shopping every week, has lunch out with her daughters, keeps up with current events, both in and out of government Her main hobby is sewing, she makes her own dresses, sews for her granddaughters and has recently been making "Bonnet Girl" pillows, since finding a baby quilt of this pattern. Mrs. Stowers was born Alice Frye in Bocky Comfort, Missouri.

She was next to the oldest in a family of five (one brother and three sisters, all still Irving). She taught school briefly before marrying Felix Stowers on August 30,1903 in Acdmore, Oklahoma Territory. Mr. and Mrs. Stowers lived in Western Oklahoma for many years.

Until the past few years Mi's. Stowers thought nothing of hoarding the bus at Disneyland Hotel and flying from Los Angeles to Oklahoma to see her two remaining sisters or to Mississippi to visit her daughter Bcrnice. Girl" pillows can be found among foreign and domestic antiques, Fenton Glass, Annotate Pewter, Wright glass ttems made from 100 year old molds, stoneware, healthy house plants and many other delightful and unusual gift items which are reasonably priced at Harper's Bazaar, located in the old (1896) orange farm house at 1655 So. Euclid. Anaheim, just two blocks north of Katella.
