McGhee, 61, was a member of the mission board of directors. In her address, she urged the board to withdraw what she called "a very divisive statement." The statement expressed opposition to women clergy. McGhee sat down when another woman director began to defend the statement, The Associated Press reported. McGhee then went into convulsions and was taken to Crawford Long Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, the AP said.

The Atlanta-based board administers the largest missionary force in the United States. It voted a year ago to stop future aid to small churches that hire women as ministers. "What I desire most in our convention is peace," McGhee said in her speech to the board. The board voted to postpone until, its March meeting any vote on the statement about women ministers. McGhee was a charter member of the 22nd Street Baptist Church in Tucson, her son, Jeffrey McGhee, said.

He said she was director of the Women's Missionary Union at her church and a former first vice presi dent of the Arizona Southern Baptist Convention. She was born in Frankfort, 111., and came to Tucson with her husband, Harold D. McGhee, in 1946. She is survived by her husband; son Jeffrey and three other children, Sean 0. McGhee, Mindy E.

PHOENIX (AP) The Arizona Court of Appeals ruled yesterday that Maricopa County had the right during a measles epidemic to order non-immunized school children to stay home. The court ruled 3-0 against the families of non-immunized children at Franklin Elementary School who were ordered by the county Health Department to stay out of school during a measles outbreak in February and March 1986. Court documents said many children ignored the order, and the county obtained a restraining order requiring the children to stay home. The children's parents then appealed. The parents said being excluded from school violated the children's right to a public education as well as their constitutional right to privacy and the right to free exercise of religion.

Measles is a highly infectious disease among non-immunized people and is almost entirely preventable through vaccination, the court said. (AP) A District Court judge has agreed to delay until April the trial of Robert Weeks, who is a suspect in the disappearance of his wife and two former girlfriends.

Judge Robert Rose scheduled Weeks' trial for April 4. Frank Daw-ley, defense counsel, had asked for the extension, saying he needed the time to examine information gathered by the prosecution. A Clark County grand jury indicted Weeks July 6 on two counts of murder and six other felonies, ranging from forgery to obtaining money by false pretenses. Weeks, 58, was arrested May 26, under the name Charles Stolzen-berg, by officers in Tucson after being identified through the television show "Unsolved Mysteries." Authorities had been searching for Weeks to question him about the disappearance of his wife, Patricia Weeks of Las Vegas, and former girlfriends Cynthia Jabour of Las Vegas and Carol Ann Riley of San Diego. The disappearances date back to 1968.

No trace of the three women has been found. The Clark County indictment accuses Weeks in the killing of Patricia Weeks and Jabour. Patricia Weeks disappeared after she and her husband separated following 14 years of marriage. Jabour and Riley also vanished, authorities say, after one last meeting with Weeks in the final stages of their relationships. 6 Steel 1Q5 T'POST Medium weight American made 12S Vi HP Garage Master GARAGE DOOR OPENER 2735 BARB WIRE 8' 10' 12' Industrial strength chain drive 4V2 minute light delay 6,561 security codes Automatic safety reverse 450S 11" 14" 17" 12V ga.
