"Luciano" will be the first theatrical feature to be produced by Orsatti Productions, a Los Angeles-based firm that specializes in educational and industrial films. The project, which is scheduled to begin shooting next March, will be produced by James Maloney for executive producer Dominic Orsatti. RECYCLING: Paramount Pictures is dusting the mothballs off "Deadhead Miles." a movie made in 1971 and on Paramount's shelves ever since. "I guess it was a little before its time and didn't fit into Paramount's releasing schedule when it was first completed," commented Vernon Zimmerman, who directed the cross-country trucking movie starring Alan Arkin, Loretta Swit and Paul Benedict. "Deadhead Miles" its title refers to a trucking term for miles driven without a load was Zimmerman's first feature.

He has since written the screenplay for "Bobby Joe and the Outlaw." directed "The Jammer" for Roger Cor-man and is currently writing an original screenplay, "The Mystic." for producer Jay Weston.
