accomplished young ladies of that city The happy couple returned to this city Tuesday last where they received the many congratulations of their friends who hope that hap piness and prosperity may at tend themthrough life Mr Wm Dardin ofnearPow ell who died a short time since had to the ripe old age of 83 years He was married three times His first wife was the mother of twelve children his second wife was the mother of children and his third wife the mother of twelve children making a grand total of twenty nine children inall7twentyine of whom are yet living This is a record not made by many men even in Arkansas Mr Dardin resided ihe greater por tion of his life in Marion county was a good citizen and his death is regretted by friend Last Monday evening Miss Eddie Perry daughter of Perry of Creek died after a severe 'illness of la grippe and pneumonia Miss Eddie was an accomplished young lady who was loved and by all who knew her Her remains were laid to rest Tuesday even ing in the Creek ceme tery in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives there to await the resurrection morn when the dead in Christ shall rise and on wings of love enter the pearlygates in to that city whose streets are paved with gold where sickness sorrow pain and death and part ings come no more In Echo will be found the announcement of Alf King of Harrison as a develop ed on her breast in a very malig nant form 'A few months since a surgical operation was per formed and for a time it was be its deadly effects were 'destroyed but it soon re appear ed in a 'more malignant form than ever and while everything that could be done to stay its i deadly ejects jwas applied it continued to make rapid inroads on her system sapping her life away by degrees Mrs Estes was one of noblewomen an affectionate companion a true and loving mother The bereav yyed family have the sympathy of a host of friehd in this their hour of sad affliction line this week or the
