The Los Angeles Kings obtained veteran goaltender Kelly Hrudey yesterday from the New York Islanders. To get Hrudey, the Kings sent the Islanders defenseman Wayne McBean and goalie Mark Fltzpa-trlck, both 20 years old, along with future considerations. The Kings are in second place in the Smythe Division, three points ahead of defending Stanley Cup champion Edmonton. Hrudey, 28, was drafted in 1980 and came up to the NHL in 1984. In 241 games with the Islanders, he had a record of 106-90-26 with a 3.47 goals-against average and six shutouts.
