Fire marshal gets Doverite's appeal The appeal of John Hurless Jr. of 604 Short Dover, concerning a fix-up or demolition order from Fire Chief Wilbur Bitticker has been forwarded to the office of the state fire marshal.

The order was issued on a vacant frame building at 301S. Tuscarawas av. and Hurless has challenged the fire chief's authority and findings. City Solicitor Dennis Traver said appeals, under Ohio law, are handled by the state fire marshal, who is authorized to conduct an investigation and set a hearing date. The appeal was forwarded Tuesday by Capt.
