1 Vi l' El Camino Scores Another Rout, 69-0 Ken McAllister returned three punts for touchdowns and Bill Islava and Rod Finney each ran for two as Metropolitan Conference power El Camino routed Laney, 69-0, Saturday. It was the second straight nonconference romp for El Camino, which now has scored 127 points. The Warriors opened their season last week by crushing San Diego Mesa, 58-6. McAllister, a 5-11, 154-pound cornerback, dashed 65, 45 and 45 yards for scores. Islava, a freshman quarterback, ran 7 and 9 yards and Finney scored on runs of 15 and 3 yards.

The visiting Warriors took advantage of five fumble recoveries and two interceptions. They sustained only one scoring drive of 45 yards. In other games, freshman quarterback Charlie Young completed 16 of 25 passes for 247 yards, including scoring tosses of 30, 49 and 10 yards to Dan Garcia, as Pierce beat West LA, 28-10. Garcia caught 7 for 176 yards. Keith Bizzle scored three touchdowns on runs of 21, 2 and 4 yards to pace Pasadena to its second win of the season, 28-6, over Mt.

San Antonio. All-State running back David Turner gained 177 yards on 24 carries and scored once as Bakersfield edged Cerri-tos, 24-23. 14 Part Sept 21, 197 log 3ngtkg Cimtg 3 Ja Agio Wins; New Betting Record Set BY BION ABBOTT Timts Staff Writer Ja Agio, trained by A.T. (Tommy) Doyle and ridden by Danny Velasquez, came flying from behind to beat King Charley in the final strides of the $16,135 C.B. Affler-baugh Memorial Stakes Saturday before 24,835 fans, biggest crowd to attend the Pomona races since 1968.

A total of $1,810,630 was wagered on the 11-race program, an all-time high. The old mark of $1,718,628 was set in 1968. After trailing for the first half-mile, Ja Agio moved up steadily to catch King Charley in the final sixteenth and then drive past him by three-quarters of a length in 1:44 flat for the 16 miles. The time was only one-fifth off the track record. This was the second win of the Pomona season for both Doyle and Velasquez, who teamed to win the Derby Trial with Tonys Double in a $19.80 upset.

King Charley paid $11.60 as third choice feature. Ocala Boy, the favorite by only a few dollars over King Charley, failed to rally and wound up fourth. Brush Cutter, the pre-race favorite, was withdrawn after hurting himself in his stall. King Charley set the pace for all but the final few strides. He bore out both times turning into the stretch, losing enough ground to cost him the race.

In the $10,000 Pomona Quarter Horse Championship, Pair Of Dice, ridden by Kenny Clerisse, scored a $16.80 upset win over five rivals in 19.87 seconds for 400 yards. Flight 109 nosed out favored Wanta Go for second in a finish so close the sixth horse wasn't much more than a foot or so behind Pair Of Dice, who was a head in front at the wire. w-i 2 1 I 5 4 ,7 Bell of Michigan loses 5 yards 19 tie with Stanford at Ann Arbor, Mich.
