Williamstown Hospital Auxiliary plans bridge, tea Tlie bridge and tea sponsored annually by the Williamstown Auxiliary of (he Nor I Adams Hospital will be May 5 at 1.30 p.m. at the Williams College Alumni Home on Spring Street. Mrs. Frederick C. Rudolph, president of the auxiliary, has announced that general chairman of the event will be Mrs.

Charles Hoffman. Other chairmen of are: Mrs. Madison M. Slasher, tea chairman; Mrs. Paul H.

Netherwood, tickets; Mrs. Richard B. Clulz, publicity; Sirs. James E. Surgenor, prizes; and Mrs.

Francis G. Jenkins, duplicate. Proceeds from the bridge will suooort the annual scholarship program of the auxiliary, which assists area girls attending nursing school. The ticket committee is meeting this afternoon at the home of Mrs. Netherwood at 12 Grandview Drive.

Junior High dance well attended A large number of students are reported lo have attended the Junior High dance at Mt. Greylock Regional High Friday evening. Entertainment was provided by The Joint Session, a band composed of Mt. Greylock students. Refreshments were served.

Assisting with arrangements for the dance, which was sponsored by the seventh grade, were class officers Andrew Rick, president; Patricia Rice, vice president; Linda Bedard, secretary; and Susan Church, treasurer. Chaperones included Miss Denise Deveau, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Felton, Mr. and Mrs.

Philip Cantelon, John O'Case, Arthur R. Ed- Brian K. Lobdell, John F. McPherson, Brien Locke, and Christopher R. Paulson.

McGowen, Chairman BY ORDER OF THE WILLIAM STOWN SCHOOL COMMITTEE Philip M.Alton, pril 7, 1970 Chairman The Transcript, Wednesday, April 8, 1970 "Signs of the Times" Mt Greylock will present physical education event A physical education exhibition entitled "Signs of the Times" will be presented at Mt. Greylock Regional High School at 7.30 Friday evening. 150 students will participate in the snow. Bleachers are being set up in the gymnasium to accommodate an audience of 1,500 lo 2,000 persons. The show will be presented in 12 acts, each under a different sign of the Zodiac, with background art banners created by the Art Department.

Miss Agnes Stillman, gym teacher, will introduce the various numbers and will narrate Ihe performance. Harry Felton is chairman of the show and will explain some of the gymnastic acts and the high school wrestling match. The exhibition, which marks the end of a unit of gymnastic preparation, been under preparation during after school hours since the first of the year. It is the first such public exhibition in three years, although Mr. Felton said the department hopes to establish an interscholastic gym team to compete oulside the district next year.

Included in the display of physical prowess will be several different gymnastic acts, wrestling, ball routines combined with dancing in a. rhythmic activity, and demonstrations on several pieces of new equipment. New equipment includes the parallel bars, and.a $2,500 Universal Gym which is a 10-station weight lifting apparatus. Tlie only real competition will be between Hal Muller, an nth-grader and 'Thomas Kalt, an eighth grader, both of Williamstown, who will compete in a peg board climbing test. Working against time will be the pyramid gymnasts who will build a human pyramid, hold the pose and break it, all during the few seconds that a parchute is in Ihe air.

Assisting with the program, in addition lo Mr. Felton and Miss Slillman, will be Kussell Pickering, chairman of the Physical Education Department, Miss Susan Hay, Mrs. Linda Felton, and John Allen.
