She is survived by her daughter, Martha N. Rushlow and her husband, Michael of Wilmington, DE; son, James H. Neave of Rockledge, FL; grandson, Adam J. Neave of Rockledge, FU and nephew, Thomas H. Hutt of Hockessin, DE.

He also served in the Merchant Service and later in life, Bill obtained a Master's degree in human services and went on to become a college professor and a drub and alcohol rehabilitation counselor. He retired in 1997. Bill is survived by Patricia, his loving wife of 45 years; and their 8 children, Mary Patricia, Kathleen, Theresa, Denise and her husband, Matthew, Maureen and her husband, Joe, Joanne, Michele and her husband, Ralph and William, Jr. and his wife, Donna; his 15 grandchildren, who will never forget Bebop's love, laughter, whisker kisses and magic tricks; his brothers, John and Denis; and his sister, Catherine Clark. Capanna Age 66 of Carneys Point, NJ died Thursday, November 8, 2001 at the home of his sister, Rose, following a long illness. John was born in Penns Grove, NJ to the late Ercole and Catherine M. (Lodi) Capanna, and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was formerly employed for E.I. DuPont Chambers Works in Deepwater, NJ, retiring in 1992 with 37 years of service.

He was a US Army veteran and member of the St. James R.C. Church. His son, Jeffery J. Capanna of White Plains, NY; sisters, Rose P.A.

Griffith Age 71 of Rehoboth Beach, DE died suddenly Wednesday, November 7, 2001 at her residence. Rita was born in NY to the late Ignatius and Elinor Madarassy Horvath. She lived in Elsmere and Newark, DE before moving to Rehoboth Beach 4 years ago. She and her husband, the late Russell O. Griffith, owned and operated the Griffith Funeral Home in Elsmere, DE for many years.

Mrs. Griffith attended the Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach and was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and loving sister. She made many sacrifices during her life and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Survivors include son, Robert G. Schmitt; daughter, Connie L.

Matthews, both of Rehoboth Beach; sister. Edith Kushman of Long Island, NY; granddaughter, Bettyanne Snider of Georgetown, DE; niece, Cathy Madarassy of Bear, DE; and 3 great grandchildren, Amber Matthews and Erica and Robby Snider. Visitation 2-4 pm Nov. 11 at Benjamin Markovitz Age 96 died November 2001 in Shipley Manor. Born in Philadelphia, PA. 9, he lived most of his life in Wilmington, DE, where he operated a grocery store. He had been a member of Congregations Beth Shalom and Machzikey Hadas.

He enjoyed long walks and vegetable gardening. He will always be remembered for his happy spirits. Husband of the late Jennie, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Len and Renee; and grandchildren, Andy Markovitz and Terri Pheiffer and her husband, Neal. Martell Age 76 of Carneys Point, NJ, died Thursday, November 8, 2001 at the Memorial Hospital of Salem County, NJ, following a brief illness. Born in Penns Grove, NJ to the late Salvatore and Giacinta Cantoli Martell, he was a lifelong resident of the Penns GroveCarneys Point area. He was a graduate of Penns Grove High School and excelled in basketball. He also played baseball for the Mayflower team. He served in the US Army during WWII in the Pacific Theatre.

Mr. Martell retired from the DuPont Company Chambers Works in 1987 after 41 years of service. He was a member of the DuPont Veterans Association and the Penns Grove High School Alumni Association. He enjoyed traveling and watching sports. Mr.

Martell was predeceased by 4 brothers, Alfred Tony, Harry and Armondo; and 2 sisters, Mary Franceschini and Jeanette Martell. He is survived by a son, Samuel C. Martell of Pennsville, NJ; daughters, Melissa Martell of Waterford NJ and Denise Zane of Carneys Point, NJ; a brother, James Martell of Laurel, MD; sisters, Angie Martell and Alvera DeSantis, both of Carneys Point, NJ; 4 grandchildren; and a companion, Jean Corona. Survivors also include Judith A. Watson Martell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Tuesday, November 13 at the Corpus Christi R.C. Paul A. McCaffrey Age 48 of Seaford, DE died Wednesday, November 7, 2001 at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Mr. McCaffrey was a painter, coached little league baseball and was active in all youth league sports. He is survived by sons, Brian and Evan McCaffrey; daughters, Kellen, Jessica and Morgan McCaffrey; his mother, Marie McCaffrey; brother, Danny McCaffrey; sisters, Sharon walker and Marilene Binkley; and his nephew, Shaun Mohler.

Bliss Aae 81 of Newark. DE died Monday, November 5, 2001. 1 'Elena was a credit manager for Grants and Shoppers Fair. She was a very active and energetic person with many hobbies and interests. She doted on her 2 sons and was very involved with the Newark Senior Center.

Elena was also a painter and opera lover, both as a listener and as a singer. Traveling to foreign countnes and collecting European Antiques were passions of hers. In fact, Elena could speak 3 foreign languages ffuently-ltalian, German and French. She was always advising and counseling her many friends and family and figuring out ways to stretch her dollars. Elena led a life rich with friends and experiences, and she will be missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her husband, A. William Bliss, who died in 1991. She is survived by her 2 sons, William and his wife of 34 years Joan of DE and Richard and his wife of 28 years Joan of Great Falls, VA; her beloved grandchildren, Jason, Travis, Brian and Ashley. She is also survived by her brother, Nicholas Lendino and his children; and her companion of the last 6 years, Dennis Wilcott. He was the husband of Anne Marenco Peterson with whom he shared 19 years of marriage. Born in Elkton, MD to the late Harold J. and Frances Burch-man Peterson, he spent the majority of his life in the Kennett Square, PA area. He worked for the past 6 years in security and maintenance at the Methodist Country House in GreenviJIe, DE and also part-time at Lau Electronics for the past 2 years. Prior to that, he worked at DuPont as an agrochemical technician for 26 years.

He was a member of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church in Avondale, PA. Mr. Peterson enjoyed his 1-year old lab, Max. In addition to his wife, his sisters, Betty Lou Peterson of Downingtown, PA and Brenda Sharp of Oxford, PA survive.

Diane M. Igo Diane M. (DiStefano) Igo, age 46 of Colonial Heights, Wilmington, DE, passed away Wednesday morning, November 7, 2001. Diane was bom in Wilmington June 10, 1955 and was a 1973 graduate of Conrad High School. She earned an Associates de- gree from the University of elaware and worked as a clerk for the Family Court system, having recently completed her 25th year of service.

A member of St. Anthony of Padua parish, Diane was a loving wife and devoted mother. She is survived bv her hus band of 18 years, Richard "Rick" Igo; her children, Christine and David Igo; her parents, Albert and Betty (Cahall) DiStefano of Wilmington; and her brother and sister-in-law, Albert, Jr. and Sandi DiStefano and their sons, Anthony and Daniel, all of Newark, DE. Diane is also survived by her mother-in-law, Jeanette Igo of Wilmington; her brothers-in-law, Frank, Terry, Gene and Bob Igo, ail of Wilmington; her sister-in-law, Debbie Cullen of Newark, DE; and her nieces and nephews.

DE, she was a part-time bookkeeper for the family business, Samuel Levin and Sons in Vineland, NJ, a recycling company.

Esther was a past member, and served on the board of directors of the Sons of Jacob Congregation, and was a past member and president of their sisterhood. She also served as commissioner ol the sisterhood of the Beth Israel Congregation, and served on their board of directors for 4 years. Esther was very active in most of the synagogue activities and committees, and was a life member of the Hebrew Women's Benevolent Society. She was Bar Mitzvahed at Beth Israel in 1991. She enjoyed cooking and the arts.

Her husband, Fred Levin; sons and daughter-in-law, Marc and Sheri Levin of Sewell, NJ, Barry Levin of Smithville, NJ; sister, Shirley Cohen of Wilmington, DE; sister-in-law, Rhoda Levin of Vineland, NJ; and grandchildren, Jared and Ethan survive. The funeral service will be 2 pm Sunday, November 1 1 at the Beth Israel Synagogue, 1015 Park Vineland, NJ 08360 with interment in the Alliance Cemetery in Norma, NJ. She was a very warm and friendly person who made sure everyone had fun. She loved to dance, shop, and cook. Shirley worked at Straw-bridges Clothier in the Concord Mall for 15 years, and retired from MBNA in 1998, where she was a customer service representative. Shirley is survived by 3 daughters, Janet Enslen and her hiicnanri Rill with uurwn cho husband, Bill, with whom she lived for the past 10 years; Barbara Friedricn and her husband, Jim of Westmont, IL and Susan Stancil of Dover; 1 son, Angelo Giudici III of Wilmington; and 6 grandchildren, Katie and Eric at her home, Megan and Lauren of IL, and Elizabeth and Sara of VT. Her sister, Joan Cloutier of Chipley, FL; and 13 nieces and nephews also survive.

Morris Age 81 of Wilmington, DE aiea November 8. 2001 in the Christiana Hospital in Newark DE, in the presence of her family. Mrs. Morris was a bookkeeper for Wilmington Trust and a member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church.

Her husband, Robert died in 1982. She is survived by 2 daughters, Janet M. Spring of Hockessin, DE, Carol M. Parker of Beaumont, TX; a sister, Dorothy Vandenbraak of Wilmington, DE; and 5 grandchild-dren, Dana, Karen and Robert Spring, and Janice and Stephen Parker. The service will be 2 pm Monday, November 12 at the MCCRERY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 3924 Concord Pike, Talleyville (south of Silver-side where friends may call after 7 pm Sunday evening, November 11.
