RICHARD ARTHUR STAMPFLI Richard Arthur Stampfli, 75, died Tuesday, June 25, 1996 in Willits. He was born in Englemine on Oct. 14,1920, and was a resident of Chester, and had lived most of his life in Susanville, Chester and Westwood. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had been employed by All-Tell Corp.

as a lineman. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean of Chester; son, Kim of Willits; sisters, Louisa DeForest of Susanville and Eva Proctor of Susanville; also five of Winnemucca; daughter, Paul Heaslett, of Winnemucca; step-' daughter, Linda Oswald of Portola; his brother, John A. Geertsema of Pacifica; five grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. Services were held June 30 at the Memorial Hall in Portola. His cremated remains will be scattered at sea.

VIOLET M. DOYLE Violet M. Doyle, 74, died Tuesday, June 11, 1996, at Indian Valley District Hospital in Greenville. Born March 22, 1922, in Baron, she had been a Greenville resident since 1942. She was the former owner of the Dew Drop Inn for 16 years; a member of Greenville Southern Baptist Church, and enjoyed crocheting and ceramics.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara, of Greenville; "Tim" O'Rourke, who died several years ago. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Edith O'Rourke, of Quincy; granddaughter Diane Kauper, and numerous nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Following cremation, memorial services are pending. LAMBERT "DUTCH" ANTONIUS GEERTSEMA Lambert "Dutch" Antonius Geertsema, 70, died June 25, 1996, at his Portola residence. He was born Nov.

6, 1925, in Holland. He served as a seaman in the Merchant Marines for 38 years, and moved to Portola when he retired in 1981. He was a member of the VFW Post No. 3758 and American Legion Post No. 329, both in Portola.

He is survived by his son, John A. Geertsema, of Winnemucca, stepson, William Oswald CLAIRE J. O'ROURKE Claire J. O'Rourke, 111, died Wednesday, June 26, 1996, at Care West Nursing and in Quincy. The lifetime Plumas County resident was born Jan.

23, 1885, in LaPorte. She was the oldest survivor of the Great San Francisco Earthquake of 1906. Her husband, Leonard Burr O'Rourke, served as a county supervisor for four terms, and then was elected County Treasurer. In 1949 he died in office, and the county supervisors appointed Claire to succeed him. She was elected to four more terms, and retired at the age of 78 in 1963.

She then served as the Senior Nutrition Center treasurer until she retired at the age of 99. She and her husband had only one child, a son, Francis L. THOMAS FRANCIS "RED" NALLY Thomas Francis "Red" Nally, 70, died June 24, 1996, at Eastern Plumas District Hospital in Portola. Born June 26, 1925, in Minneapolis, he worked for Western Pacific and Union Pacific railroads for 44 years. He served in the U.S.

Navy from 1943 to 1946, and was a member of VFW post 3758 in Portola. He is survived by his sons, Michael, Roger and Tom, all of Portola, and Tim of Reno, daughter, Pam Ruyle of Oroville; sisters, Harriet Dow and Kathy Sterba of Sacramento; brother, Jim Nally of Sacramento; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be sent to Portola High School scholarship fund, co Placer Saving Bank, 24 W. Sierra Portola, 96122.

EUGENE M. LAVOIRE Eugene M. LaVoire, 77, died Wednesday, June 26, 1996, at Seneca District Hospital in Chester. Born Oct. 24, 1918, in St.

Paul, he was a 12-year resident of Chester. He owned and operated Bookkeeping Service for 15 years. FLORENCE GENEVIEVE FOLLA Florence Genevieve Folia, 75, died Monday, July 1, 1996 at the Feather River Hospital in Paradise. She was born in Santa Clara County on Oct. 2, 1920.

She moved to Plumas County in the early 1950s and lived throughout the Feather River Canyon while her husband worked for She was a homemaker the majority of her life. She moved to Magalia in 1988. She is survived by her daughters, Jo-Anne Strong of Richmond, Estelle Beer of Quincy, Katherine Morgan of Sebastapol and Jan Fairless of Palermo; sons, Milton Beer of Quincy and Dennis Folia of Magalia; brothers, Jack Biancalana of San Francisco and Bob Wess of Eagle Point, also nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. BLAKE, SR. Perry E. Blake, 71, died Sunday, June 30, 1996 at the Carewest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Quincy. He was born in Oreonta, NY, on April 20, 1925 as was a Portola resident for 22 years. He had been employed as a correctional officer for 15 years CASDM IPireseiratts coo I JACKPOT PAVOiUTS 6 lOmiUB MM a charter member of the Lake Almanor Chester Elks Club; he enjoyed sports and was a former coach with the Chester Little League.

He is survived by his wife, June, of Chester; sons, Michael of Alabama, Robert of Lakeside, Tom of Fairfield, and Tim of Pasadena; his daughters, Vickie Robbennolt of Chester and Barbara Scholosser of Fresno, and 15 grandchildren. Graveside services were held June 30 at Chester District Cemetery. Memorial donations may be sent to Seneca District Hospital Long Term Care Unit, co Fehrman Mortuary, P.O. Box 803, Greenville, 95947. ALBERT EDWARD NEUMAN Albert Edward Neuman, 75, died Tuesday, June 25, 1996, at Sutter Memorial Hospital in Sacramento.

Born Sept. 16, 1920, in British Columbia, Canada, he was a 50-year Chester resident, owning and operating Ayoob's Dept. Store there for 50 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.

He was a 1938 graduate of Greenville High School. Prior to entering the military, he owned and operated a butcher shop in Greenville. He was a member of the Westwood Lodge 501 mi WrP. lastly with Soledad Prison. He loved going to the Cal-Neva Club.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Patton-Blake of Portola; son, Perry Jr. of Monterey; daughters, Emma Shaw of Monterey and Debbie Blake of Seaside. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family requests any donations in his memory be made to the Portola Meals on Wheels co Fehrman Mortuary, PO Box 53, Quincy, 95971. CARL ORDA DYE Carl Orda Dye, 82, died Sunday, June 30, 1996 at the Seneca District Hospital in Chester.

He was born in Vancouver, on May 15, 1914 and moved to the Lake Almanor area from Stonyford where he had resided 18 years. He had been a self employed sales representative for Winn's Automotive Products; had worked as a ships rigger during World War II at Mare Island Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Snow Mt. Masonic Lodge of Stonyford, he is a past master and was awarded the Hiriam Award in May of 1995 and had been a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. He is survived wife, Rosalie of Lake Almanor; daughters, Phyllis Duckworth of Lake Almanor and Melinda Ruiz of Santa Rosa; sister, Peg Kruzer of Redwood City; also two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Private Masonic cryptside services will be held Wednesday, July 3 at 10 a.m. at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Santa Rosa. The family requests any donations in his memory be made to the Sacramento Shrinners Crippled Childrens Hospital co Fehrman Mortuary, PO Box 803, Greenville, 95947. JANET ANDERSON KYLE GROVER Janet Anderson Kyle Grover, 54, died at her home in Seattle, June 20, 1996. Born in Muskegon, she moved to Greenville with her parents and graduated from Greenville High School in 1960.

She attended several colleges, graduating from Evergreen State College in 1991 with a bachelor's degree, and received a master's degree at Antioch University in 1994. She was in the process of completing her Ph.D. at The Union Institute of Cincinnati, Ohio. She traveled to many foreign countries, staying in hostels and with native families. Her doctoral studies included Political Economy and Social Change, Healing Contexts, Women's Studies and Cyberphysiology.
