Millionth Hearing Aid By Sonotone A new milestone in hearing aid history was reached recently when Sonotone Corporation turned out its millionth instrument. This event--rare in most industries--was made even more epochal by the fact that the millionth Sono- tone was also a tubeless hearing air, according to Monroe E. Rinehart, manager of Sonotone of Hanover. Now, for the first time in a Sono- tone, magical transistors have completely replaced vacuum tubes and have eliminated the need for two batteries in a hearing -aid. Sonotone's millionth will also change the life of 10-year-old Nancy Hill, who has been unable to hear well since she had measles at an early age.

Sweet, blonde Nancy has been able to keep up well with her playmates by going to a special school for hard-of-hearing children But. she needed a hearing aid, which her parents were unable to provide.
