R. Weaver, now of Wichita, the first pastor to occupy the church after dedication, was present and made a talk. After the service the corner stone of the old building was removed and opened. The membership roll taken from the box and showed 131 members, while the roll at this time contains 675 names, a truly remarkable growth in twelve years. While talking of the church and taking a backward glance, time was taken for a little look into the future and the work to be done given consideration.

Three million dollars will change hands here during convention week in the matter of Liberal Democrat: Roy Johnson of the Pullman Cafe and his little daughter and Jerry Hol-man drove to the Cimarron Tuesday nigh' and returned with sixty eat fish they caught from the river. Scott City News-Chronicle: Lough and Sons have recently purchased one of the most up-to-date alfalfa mills that can be purchased and will install at at their irrigated ranch southwest of this city. The mill is 42 inch and has a capacity of fifty tons per day, and is said to be the most efficient and economical operating machines of its kind in the country. The plant fully equipped without buildings will cost $12,000.

The large volume of alfalfa raised by Lough Sons each year besides hundreds of tons raised by others in that neighborhood will probably keep this mill going full time during the season and it is said that alfalfa can be made to bring lots more money by putting i tthrough a mill. This will be a valuable asset to the equipment on the Lough ranch. Scott City News-Chronicle At a meeting of the city council Monday night the contract which had been prepared by the Sugar Beet Co. to furnish power to Scott City was turned down on account of their change of price and terms. The original price to Scott City was 4 per KW, on their side of the tranformer this city to stand the line loss, which they represented would be approximately one fourth of a cent perKW.

Their final contract was to furnish power at five and one-half cents and they would stand line loss and the loss passing through the transformer, thus raising the price one and one-half cen' for what they estimated would cost one-fourth of a cent. The council and mayor were unanimous in their decision. Scott City will therefore probably install a new engine in the future, in order to meet the increasing demand. for current that is facing the city. NO ONE but a user can realize how much longer Republic Tires wear, or how much Prodium means to their longer life. Because the Prodium Process actually toughens the rubber and causes it to wear down slowly and evenly, like steel. This quality of toughness means protection from water, the cutting and chipping that allow foreign matter to enter and weaken the fabric and to cause premature destruction to the tire.
