Born in Wilmington, DE, on August 25, 1961, she was the daughter of Joseph and Shirley Wilderman of Newark, DE George A. Stoops of Warminster, PA. She graduated from John Dickinson High School in 1979.

Jennifer had an artist's eye and enjoyed painting, sketching and had a flair for decorating. She enjoyed cooking and loved the outdoors regardless of the season. She was an avid skier and looked forward to taking her annual ski trip each year. In the summer you would find her enjoying a day at, the beach remembering her childhood summers spent in Bethany Beach, DE. Her greatest enjoyment was the time she spent with her nieces and nephews on outings and family vacations.

She was preceded in death by shear a I maternal grandparents, and Mildred Irelan; paternal grandmother, Evelyn Meyer; Uncle Donald Irelan; Uncle Edward Webb and cousin, David Irelan. In addition to parents, she is survived by her brother, Jeffrey Stoops and his wife, Aggie of Welling. ton, FL and their children, Andrew, Lauren, Tim and Dan; her brother, Kevin Stoops of Wilmington, DE and his children, Ross and Caileigh sister, Kim Baccino and her husband Steve of Middletown, DE and their children Tyler, Ryan and Alexis. In addition, she is survived by her Aunt Phyllis Fadeley and Aunt Janice Irelan both of Rehoboth Beach, DE and their children and grandchildren. A memorial service for family and Jennifer's close friends will be held at the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, Limestone Rd, Pike Creek, at 1:30 pm, Friday, June 5, 2009.

Burial will be private. Harrie G. Schimmel or in Cornwall, PA. Harrie formerly lived in Camp Hill and York, PA. He was born in Columbus, OH, Harrie G.

Schimmel, 87, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, formerly of Lancaster, died Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Cornwall Man- son of the late Elmer T. (Hutchi- Schimmel and was the husband of Elizabeth (Johnson) Jordan Schimmel for the past 61 years. He was a graduate of Ohio Wes- leyan University where he obtained a BA in business. He also attended Ohio State University, the University of Rochester, University of Colorado, Penn State University. and the University of Connecticut to further his education in the areas of hospital and business management.

His work experiences include: partner in the family construction business, E.T.Schimmel Sons in York (1946-1964); Controller for Cumberland County, PA (1960-1964); Financial Director for St. Joseph Hospital in Lancaster (1965-1974); Business Administrator for Eastern PA Conference of the United Methodist Church (1974-1979); President and CEO of Cornwall Manor in Cornwall, PA (1979-1989). Harrie was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Rehoboth Beach and served in the US Navy during WWII. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, of Rehoboth Beach, 2 sons; Edwin T. married to Elizabeth (Hart) Schimmel and Daniel J.

married to Susan R. (Dissington) Schimmel both of Lancaster; and a sister, Marguerite married to Dennis N. Wolf of Bethany Beach, DE; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren alSO survive. He was predeceased by his son, John F. Schimmel, and his brother Robert F.

Schimmel. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2009 at 2 pm at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Rd, Rehoboth Beach, DE. 19971. Siebold "Sunny" Henrietta "Sunny" Bouchelle Siebold, age 87, of Newark, DE, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009." Born on June 12, 1921, in Leeds, MD, Mrs. Siebold was the daughter of the late Wilmer H.

and Agatha Scott Bouchelle. She was a homemaker. During WWII, she worked at Triumph Explosives. She then went to work at became a schoolteacher, and retired from the DuPont Company. Mrs.

Siebold had been a sports team coach and an active member of the PTA and Booster Club. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and extended family. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading, baking, flowers, and vegetable gardening. She also loved animals, especially her dogs. Survivors include her children, John Craig and wife, Claudia, Olney, MD, Phillip Craig and wife, Sally, Fenwick Island, DE, Holly Williams and husband, Steve, Newark, DE, and Bob Craig and wife, Susan, Elk Neck, MD: grandchildren, Mandy Williams, Erin Craig, Lizzie Williams, Josh Craig, and Kali Craig; and brother, Wilmer Bouchelle, Hockessin, DE.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death is, her husband, David Siebold; and siblings, Margaret Rees, Ruth Bouchelle, Bouchelle, and Jane Calloway. Funeral service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, June 6, at HICKS HOME FOR FUNERALS, 103 W. Stockton ton, MD 21921, where family and friends may call after 10 am. Clara B. Stewart Age 82, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on June 1, 2009, at Shipley Manor. Clara was a graduate of West Chester Secretarial School. She worked as a secretary to the president of the R.R. Division of the DuPont Company for 15 years.

She also worked at Fairfax Floor Covering and Furniture and Fairfax Hardware. Clara was a member of Siloam U.M. Church and the United Methodist Women. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John L. Stewart; her son, Tim B.

Stewart and his wife Shelley and her granddaughters, Sarah and Emily. Mrs. Wittmeyer was born in 1917 to the late Augustus and Anna Ferschke. She graduated from A.I. DuPont High School in 1935, and during World War II, was employed at the DuPont Experimental Station. She also worked ten years as a teachat A.I DuPont Middle er'saide Mrs.

Wittmeyer was a long time member of St. David's Episcopal Church. is survived by her husbathe, Richard G. Wittmeyer; her children, Richard Wittmeyer, Jr. and his wife Maria, Philip Wittmeyer, Sarah Curry, Kay Gartner and her husband J.

Carlton Gartner, Jr. M.D., and Rebecca Vye and her husband Kemp; twelve grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Kenny Curry. Funeral services will be held at 10 am, on Thursday June 4, at St. David's Episcopal Church.

Charles M. Surowiec, 87 of Wilmington, DE, peacefully passed away surrounded by loving family on Monday, June 1, 2009. Mr. Surowiec was born in Wilmington on September 23, 1921, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Feret) Surowiec. A veteran of the United States Navy, he proudly served our country during World War II, having been stationed aboard the U.S.S.

Haraden in the Pacific Theatre, and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He was employed with General Motors at the Boxwood Road Assembly Plant and retired in 1986 after 32 years of dedicated service. Mr. Surowiec was a member of St. Parish and an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.

He also enjoyed boating, woodworking and puzzles. Mr. Surowiec is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Helen C. (Dudek) Surowiec; his daughters, Sandra M. Dierdorf and her husband, Douglas and Carol A.

Conway and her husband, Bill; his grandchildren, Johanna and Erika Dierdorf, Billy Conway and his wife, Laurie Drennan and her husband, Jeff; and his greatgranddaughter, Hanna Conway. also survived by his sister-in-law, Jane Dudek; and his niece, Lorraine Twardowski. He was predeceased by his brother, Ben Surowiec; and his sister, Jean Pasternak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Matthew's Church, 901 E.

He also hosted a sports talk program on WDRF radio station in the 1950's, Matt was born in Chester, PA, on October 25, 1920, and passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 29, 2009, at his home in Wilmington, DE. Matt was a Sportswriter for "The News Journal," retiring in 2002, after 40 years of service, at the age of 82. Previously, he was a Sportswriter for and was a sought after toastmaster and public speaker. In 1997, Matt received the Herm Reitzes award from the Delaware Sporswriters Broadcasters Association in recognition of a lifetime contribution to sports in the First State. In 2000, he was inducted into the I Delaware Sports Hall of Fame, then in 2001, inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, and was also honored for his contributions to the Cooperstown (NY) Baseball Hall of Fame and received a lifetime membership.

In 1976, 1977 and 1984, he was named Delaware "S- portswriter of the Year." Although Matt interviewed some of greatest sports legends in history, he is most remembered his stories about local Matt had a zest for life, his family and his work, which he enjoyed with enormous passion. Matt joined the U.S. Navy in 1943 and proudly served his Country in WWII on the aircraft carrier, Randolph. The crowing point of career was when Ed Okonowicz and Jerry Rhodes published a book about his career, "Matt Zabitka: Sports, 60 years of Headlines and Deadlines" in 2002. Matt pre-deceased by his son, Donald S.

Zabitka. He left to mourn his passing, his wife of 65 years, Helen Vera (Kalatucka); his loving daughter son-in-law, Shirley Ann and James R. McCreary of Newark, DE, and his faithful dog, Rocky, II. Lucille Petrillo Zito teaching gree. While working in the Brandywine School District (1973 1991) and raising her family, Lucille attended the University of Delaware and completed her Master of Education in Special Education and Social and Emotional Disturbance in 1980. Lucille also taught religious education and, tutored many students within the Brandywine School District. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and the AAUW Advancing equity for, women and girls through advocacy, education, and research. Lucille was also a member of St.

Mary MagChurch served on the Parish Council, as well as served as an Eucharistic Minister and Lector. Lucille loved to play Bridge, was an avid seamstress, and loved to quilt scrapbook. Lucille was known for her baking. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Zito, Sr. in 1984; her sisters, Connie Miller, Doris ladonisi, and Josephine Santo; and her brothers, Rudolph, Alfred, tore, Steven, and 'Edward Petrillo.

Surviving are her children Alisa Cianfrani Falzarano and husband Phil of Naples, Florida, Marianne Zito of Kissimmee, Florida, James Edward, Jr. and his wife Lauren of St. Cloud, Florida, Geralyn Zito McDermott and her husband Timothy of Dayton, New Jersey. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Lauren Cianfrani and her fiance Blair Buchanan, Krista Cianfrani Vocca and her husband Xavier Vocca, Victoria Jessica Bedwell, Tony and Belle Falzarano, Paige and James Zito, Rachel and Robbie Williams, and Connor McDermott. She will also be missed by her beloved pets.

Lucille is also survived by her sister Anne Palkowski of Orange, Connecticut, and several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and left behind many friends.
