The beautiful home on Hillcrest was decorated with a profusion of red hearts and the red lights and tally cards carrying out the color scuetne. A basket of red carnations formed the centerpiece. Mrs. Issacs was assisted in caring for her guests by her mother, Mrs. J.

A. Hunter, and sister, Mrs. W. E. Winder, and daughter, Miss Cecil.

The rcok prizes were won by 'Mesdames W. M. Haley and R. J. Hughes.

The prize in the bridge contest was awarded to Mrs. H. K. Butterworth. Mrs.

Hill was presented with a beautiful gift. Late in the afternoon the hostess served a delicious ho. luncheon. Cosmopolitan Club Celebrates. The Cosmopolitan Club celebrated its tenth birthday very charmingly at the home of Mr.

and H. Thompson in" Thursday evening. On this occasion the club husbands are guests, and these events are looked forward to with a great deal of pleasure. The handsome new home, of the host and hostess was attractively decorated, with carnations and narcissi. On entering, each guest was presented a card bearing an unfinished proverb, and was requested to find the person holding the remainder of the proverb.

A contest in character sketches followed, different members of the club being subjects. A great deal of amusement was caused by reading these sketches, and an opportunity was given to "see ourselves as others see us." Mrs. R. C. Rudisill arranged the pro gram, the opening number being a duet by Mesdames I.

0. Runyan and J. F.THouck. Miss Iris Armstrong fol lowed with a reading, and was com pelled to respond to an encore. Mrs, E.

D. Bracy, in her beautiful Boprano voice, rendered a choice vocal nnmber, with violin obligato by 'Miss Aralee Bunn, accompanied on the by Mrs. J. F. Houck.

Miss Armstrong then gave two selections in Italian dia lect. Miss Laura Longly, her hap- py way, gave two lovely vocal numbers. Thvi Cosmopolitan quartet completed. the nrogram wth two) selections. Tables were arranged and an hour spent in games, the highest score being made by Mesdames I.

The. house was prettily done in hearts, and the heart motif was carried out in the refreshments. A most enjoyable time was had by all present. Concordia Bridge. One of the pleasant functions of the past week was the Concordia Bridge Club on Wednesday afternoon, which was well attended and thoroughly enjoyed.

The Kramer S. A. met Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock with 75 present. Eight new members were enrolled. The treasurer' reported a nice balance on hand after all debts are paid-.

An entertainment was planned to raise additional funds to purchase a stereopticon machine to be used in instructing the different classes. It was decided to aeeept the invitation to join, the City Federation of Woman's Clubs. Miss Whitcomb's room was awarded the picture for this month for having the majority of mothers present. The next -meeting be held the first Thursday in March. Cosmopolitan Club.
