Mr. Dowdell was born Oct. 13, 1943, at Lawcence. He was the area assisted-living manager for DSNWK. He was preceded in death by a grandchild.

Survivors include his wife, Sharyn of the home; two David of Denver and Lateef of Garden City; five brothers, Stephen of Lawrence, Sakeim of Mesa, Marcus and Gregory, both of Denver, and Darrell of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and two grandchildren. The service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ninth Street Baptist Church in A second service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Missionary Baptist Church in Nicodemus. 26,1924, at Damar. She was a cosmetologist and owned and operated a beauty shop. She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1994; and a granddaughter. Survivors include three sons, Bryan and Detmis, both of Concordia, and David of Culver; four daughters, Sheryl Scott of El Paso, Texas, Beverly Kadel of Beloit, Marcia Mauch of Concordia and Denise Nosek of Omaha, two brothers, Ulysses Simoneau of Wichita and William Simoneau of Denver; three sisters, Margaret Buckner of Humphrey, Adella Brouillette of North Platte, and Rose Hand of Atwood; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. 22, 2002. Mr. Garbrielson was born Jan. 17, 1908, at Lindsborg. He was a farmer.

His wife, Dorothy died in 1992. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bethany Home Chapel, Lindsborg. Burial will be at 9:30 a.m.

Estella Pearl Grubb Estella Pearl Grubb, 103, Salina, died Friday, Feb. 22,2002. Mrs. Grubb was born Estella Pearl Matthew on Aug. 27,1898, at Argonia.

She was a retired schoolteacher. She attended Normal School at Emporia and Bethany colleges. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Salina and a charter member of American Legion Auxiliary of Marquette, United Methodist Women, Golden Years Club and Native Daughters. She married Walter Grubb on March 7,1920. He died in 1950.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Raymond Grubb of Manhattan; a daughter, Lola Cox of Aurora, a brother, Wilbert Matthew of Salina; five grandchildren; seven grandchildren; and six great- great-grandchildren The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church, Marquette. Burial will be in Marquette Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Salina, Presbyterian Manor of Salina and United Methodist Church of Marquette. Feb. 22, 2002. Mrs. was born Mabel Elizabeth Wolfram on April 13, 1909, at rural Decatur County She was a retired postmaster. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985; an infant son, Sherman Bruce; and a son, Donald Carl.

Survivors include a daughter, Audrey Law of Garden City; six grandchildren; and 12 grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pauls Funeral Home, 121 N. Penn, Oberlin 67749. Burial will be in Tracer Cemetery Memorials may be made to Decatur County Good Samaritan Center.

Mrs. Hunt was born Wilma F. Phegley on Feb. 9, 1915. at Phillips County She worked in the school kitchen for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Connie Spicer of Kansas City, and Rhonda Fenner of Independence, two grandchildren; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Olliff-Boeve Chapel, 1115 Second, Phillipsburg 67661. Burial will be in Fairvlew Cemetery. Doris Scales, died when Eureka was just 7 years old. Now 19, Eureka argues a lot with Big Mama over money, the children and getting her life together and has moved out, leaving behind her own children with the same woman who raised her. "Good night, Papa," Grammy-Boo tells her brother. "Go to sleep. Grammy-Boo." a sleepy Marcus replies.

"Good night, Grammy," Grammy-BoD tells Big Mama. "Good night. Grammy-Boo," Big Mama replies. At 8 p.m., Big Mama takes medication for her arthritis and some other medical problems she can't pronounce. The drugs make her sleepy.

She settles down in bed with the kids to watch "Cops" on television. Grammy-Boo is gone. Early in the morning, dozens of police officers began combing Wichita's north end, going door-to-door to talk to neighbors. As police look under the bed, in all the closets in the small one-bedroom apartment, a panicked Eureka calls Big Mama. "Somebody grabbed her off the bed," Big Mama tells her.

Waiting for news Big Mama says she doesn't do much anymore except sit and wait, and has even stopped taking her medicine except for as- pu'in, Detectives have stopped returning her phone calls, she says. Big Mama has been through tragedy before. One daughter Eureka's mother died of sickle cell disease. A son was stabbed to death in a case of apparent mistaken identity other died when he was just 10 months old. "This is worse my kid dying.

Mrs. Rhodenbaugh was born Helen J. Wagner on Sept. 30, 1925, at Beloit. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane, in 1974; and a son, elude a son, Terry of New Cambria; two daughters, Debbie Toothman and Vicky Rhodenbaugh, both of Salina; a sister, Josephine Richardson of Bullhead City, 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Highland Cemetery, New Cambria. Memorials may be made to the Helen Rhodenbaugh Memorial Fund. There will be no visitation.

23,2002. Mrs. Weathers was born Cheryl D. Blair on Dec. 18,1946, at Dillon.

She was a homemaker and worked at Duckwalls In Marion, Survivors include her husband, Robert E. of the home; a son, Ryan Hanneman Jr. of Wichita; a daughter, Gayle Makovec of Lost Springs; her parents, WO. and Millie Blair of Herington; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m.

Tuesday at the Donahue Funeral Home Chapel, 404 S. Broadway, Herington 67449. Inurnment will be at a later date in Ashton Cemetery, Dillon. She was a housekeeper at Sunset Nursing Home for 23 years and worked at Cooks IGA, Safeway and Nordeen's. Survivors include her husband, Donald of Concordia, and a sister. Bertha Elstrom of Concordia. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Chapel, 325 W.
