George was born to George and Alice Alexander, near Laurel MD. is survived by his wife, Hilda Alexander. George leaves behind 3 children, Dexter, Alan, and Mark, 4 granchildren and 1 great grandchild. A memorial service for the family will be held in the near future.

Annamarie Bertollo Mrs. Annamarie Bertollo, age 44, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2010 at her residence. Annamarie was born in Wilmington, DE on August 2, 1965 to James Cara and Theresa Capadonno Cara and had been a homemaker and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, riding her moped and was a true animal lover. Besides her parents, Annamarie is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Anthony J. Bertollo; sons, Anthony S. Bertollo and his Kristen Hills and Frank E. Bertollo and his Amanda Tartaglio; brothers, Jim Cara (Shenna) and Fred Cara; sister, Nikki Knight (Dustin); 2 grandchildren, Corrine Rose and Gia Marie; father-in-law, Paul J.

Bertollo; sisters-in-law, Maureen Cushing (Jack), Darlene Bunitsky (Gregory); and Laurie Noyes (Mike); and brother-in-law, Bertollo (Ruth). Annemarie was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Peggy Bertollo. A funeral service will be held at 7 pm on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at SPICER-MULLIKIN FUNERAL HOME, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle where friends may visit after 5 pm. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Curtin, Jr. Of Worton, MD, died on February 8, 2010, at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, following a short illness. He was 87 years old.

He was born on May 22, 1922, in Ossining, NY, son of the late Gerald and Cletus Curtin. He was a graduate of Yale University, Class of 1943, and an honorary doctorate from the University of South Carolina, Aiken, in 1985. He retired from the DuPont Company as vice-president, of the Petrochemicals Division, in 1985 after 42 years of distinguished service. In 1985 he received the Distinguished Associate Award from the U.S. Department of Energy in recognition of his "exceptional contributions the Department of Energy's national security He was preceded in death sister, Catherine C.

Lowery. Mr. Curtin is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Sybil S. to 12 noon. Cecilia A. Drupieski 95, of Rockland Place, Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at Foulk Manor North. Born in Wilmington, Cecilia was the daughter of the late Adam and Leokadia Manista. She was a sales associate at John Wanamaker for many years, retiring in 1977.

Cecilia was a lifelong member of St. Hedwig Church and a member of the Holy Rosary Society. Her husband of 55 years, John Drupieski, predeceased in 1993. She was also predeceased by her siblings, John Manista, Laskowski, Clemens Manista, Stanley Manista, Frances Szymanski and Agnes Denney. She will be dearly missed by her twin daughters, hanna Ambrose of Wilmington and Geraldine Mackey of Chadds Ford, PA; her sonin-law, William Mackey; her sisters, Florence Schneider, Helen Hnatowski and Elizabeth Long; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend thanks to the good people of Rockland Place, Bayada Nurses, Odyssey Health Care and Foulk Manor North for the kind and compassionate care they extended to Cecilia. Born in Philadelphia, Sally was the daughter of the late Edwin J. and Sara C.

(Danter) Grear. She was a homemaker. Her son, Michael Flynn, predeceased her. She is survived by her sister, Theresa Schwartz, of Glen Mills, her Ronald Fusco. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 16 12noon at Resurrection Cemetery, Allentown, PA.

Richard William Granger Age 58 of Claymont, DE died February 9, 2010. Richard was a graduate of Wilmington High School and attended the University of Delaware. He worked for Amtrak Railroad until he retired in March 2003. Richard was a quiet person who enjoyed the simple things in life; his cat, the outdoors, including sky diving in his years. He loved spending time with his family especially his mother, who was his best friend.

Richard is predeceased by his parents, Helen and Jack Granger, sisters Janet and June Granger. He survived by his sisters; Jacqueline Anemone (Ted), Linda List (Lance), Lois Derrickson; brothers, David (Doris), Paul (Donna), Scott Granger, and John (Lee Ann). He is also survived by 19 nieces and nephews, 17 great nieces and nephews and 2 great great nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 am on Friday February 19, 2010 at St Mary Magdalen Church Concord Pike and Rd. Burial will follow in St.

Gike "Steve" After a rich life marked by achievements, adventures and great affection, Stephen A.

(Steve) Gike died peacefully on February 9, 2010. He was 85. Born in 1924 in Duryea, PA, Steve was the only son of Stephen and Steffie (Buchinski) Gike. He served and defended his country with pride and valor during World War II as a United States Marine from 1942-1945. During this time, he participated in the invasion Okinawa.

Upon his return, he enrolled at Drexel Institute of Technology (now Drexel University). He was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and played for the Drexel 1 football team. He graduated in 1950 with a in Commerce and Finance. Steve was married to Priscilla Hadley Gike from 1952, until her death in 1955. In 1958, he accepted a position with the Ludlow Jute Company in Calcutta, India.

During his tenure there, in addition to exploring India, he traveled extensively in the Far East, the Middle East, Indonesia and Europe. In 1960, while on a brief return visit to the U.S., he met Louise Langan. During his following leave from Calcutta in 1963, they were married and returned to Calcutta for four additional years. Their daughter, Margi, was born in 1964. Steve returned to the United States with his family in 1967, settling in Wilmington, Delaware, where he worked for Zallea Brothers, Inc.

He lived in Webster Farm in North Wilmington for 40 years. He pursued many hobbies as varied and diverse as aviation, gourmet cooking, drawing and painting and fine carpentry. Without question, Steve took the greatest joy in life from his family, most especially his remarkable marriage of 47 years. In 2007, Steve and Louise moved to Maris Grove retirement communiin Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, where he lived until his death. Steve is remembered by friends for his intellect, insights and tremendous sense of humor.

He will be remembered by his family as a loving and devoted husband, adoring father, proud father of Bob Watters and enthusiastic "Gramps" to Bobby. A lifelong Catholic, Steve was a man of deep and unwavering faith. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liftwood, Wilmington, ware, at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 15, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be private.

Death Notices Carol Mae Davis DaCosta Carol Mae (Braun) Davis DaCosta, 70, of New Castle, Delaware, entered the Kingdom of Heaven to be with her Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 11, 2010, at Christiana Hospital, Newark. Born in Waukesha, Wisconsin on November 4, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Elwood and Mabel Braun.

Carol had he been a sales associate at the Dress Barn in Prices Corner for over 8 years. She was a beautiful, loving, and caring mother, grandmother, wife, and sister. She was dearly loved by her family and many friends. Carol was a talented homemaker and cook and she delighted in shopping. She enjoyed vacationing in Dewey Beach with her family each year, and was a lover of animals especially cats and dogs.

Carol is survived by her husband of 6 years, Francis B. DaCosta; daughters, Dawn Szafranski, Karen Rispoli (Marcello), and Laura Jamison (Chris Weyant); sister Doris Folen; grandchildren, Jennifer Szafranski and Casey Jamison. Aubrie showed a lifetime of love and laughter to all those who were lucky enough to have known her. Although her life was short lived, she will always be remembered as the happiest little munchkin on earth with her beautiful blue eyes and a smile that would fill your heart and soul with much joy. He was 71. Born on October 9, 1938, Richard was the first of nine children born to Jacob and: Charlotte Hilmer of Brookfield, WI. He earned bachelor's degree in chemis-" try from Regis University in A 1960 and took a job with Allis Chalmers doing fuel cell research. In 1973, Richard earned his PhD in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin and accepted a'2 position with DuPont as a research chemist, where he' worked diligently until January 1994. He then founded: dCode Software Tools, a selfrun computer programming and consulting firm, which he operated until 1999.

A Fourth Degree member and past Grand Knight of Bishop Hyle Council of the Knights of Columbus, Richard and his beloved wife, Katharine, were active members of St. Catherine of Siena Parish. Richard's survivors include his wife of 40 years, Katharine (Gallagher); their four children, Charlotte (Pe-' ter) Antal, John, Margaret and Amy; one grandchild, Walter Antal; four brothers, Robert, Russell, Roger and Randy; three sisters, Kathy Schultz, Kris Knudsen and Karol Brandt. He will be sorely missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St.
