Notice is hereby given that Frandaca Morale has filed with the Clerk of this Court a petition praying for Letters of Administration of the Estata of Manuel Morales, also known as Manuel O. Mo LEGAL NOTICE grains again led the market high er on the board of trade today, marking the fifth straight dav mat corn ana oats nave pounaea out gains. Buying again seemed to be based on belief marketing of high moisture corn may have passed its peak and traders noted a news release by Iowa State college at Ames, Iowa, that "sound corn will be scarce in most parts of Iowa by summer." A little short -covering helped soybeans. Wheat followed other grains higher, although trading was light.

Italy bought the cargo of durum wheat. There was no moisture of consequence in the major winter wheat belt in the southwest overnight. Whet closed -f2 higher, corn to 1 cent higher, oats -l higher, rye lVa-ZVz higher, soybeans -l higher, and lard un changed to 5 cents higher The upturn today left all grain contracts except March wheat higher for the week. Wheat was lower to IVb higher, corn 14- 3 higher, oats 2-4 higher, rye l-2 higher, soybeans v-3 higher and lard 42 cents to $1.52 a hundred pounds higher. Feed grains outstepped the rest of the market for the week, and it was their strength which im parted a firm tone to other cereals.

The upswing started Tuesday, after the market had sold off Monday but had not broken through the lows established in the pre vious week. Professional traders wer credited with doing much of the buying in corn and oats, some of which may have been short-covering. Apparently some traders felt the market was entitled to a technical recovery, at least, in view of its persistent weakness since early last December. A good part of the buying in wheat seemed to stem from the fact that new crop deliveries are below the potential government support level, basis Chicago. The fact that moisture in parts of the heretofore dry area as of the southwest failed to bring gut much liquidation indicated to some traders that the market had been pretty thoroughly liquidated.

Oils were "sought because ol their good current earnings showing and because of the possibilities of new production in the Wil- liston basin of North Dakota and Montana, in Canada, in Texas and in Florida. But other bid corporatoins one after another this week showed the heavy inroads of federal taxes on earnings, with a pattern of heavier tax payments than profits.

Softening Economy Along with that was a picture of a softening economy. Price cuts at wholesale and retail were showing up, federal anti-inflation controls were being eased, and once critically short strategic ma terials were off or coming off the emergency list. Steel was beii that the government had to revise its allocation schedules. This week the steel industry set a new all- time high production record esti mated at 2,104,000 tons of ingots and castings. With business so spotty and the outlook so dim, why did the stock market; go up? Brokers said that perhaps the market was loosing ahead and saw a much better business future for the country than cold statistics would indicate.

That's what Wall Street calls "dls counting the future." Trading Range Also, the market had been idling around in the lower section of the year's trading range. It wouldn't punch through the bottom. So an upside test was started. As measured by the AP average the market now has regained around 72 per cent of the loSs suffered since the Jan. 29 peak of the year.

Monday the market was quietly unchanged. Tuesday the try for higher levels started with the railroads leading, and by the close the market had registered its best gain in eight months. There was a lot of profit-taking the next day, but the market as a whole managed to remain ahead. The Thursday market was curious because prices on average were higher but minus signs outnumbered plus signs. Again, however, the rails and oils were strong, and this pattern and tempo carried right on through to the end of the week.

Average Gains The Associated Press average of 60 stocks gained 20 cents today and stood at $100.70, a gain of S2.60 on the week, the widest weekly gain since the week ended Dec. 1." Volume today came to 660,000 shares, a good amount of business. A week ago it was 460,000 shares. There were 866 individual issues on the tape of which 379 advanced and 232 declined with 15 new highs and'3 new lows. The curb market was largely higher today with trading amounting to 320.000 shares.

Gains of fractions generally and in some cases a point or more were well distributed over the carrier group. It was a continuation of the forward proclivities exhibited by the carriers in earlier sessions this week and coincided with marked popularity of railroad stocks in the equity division. Better performers included Big Four 4s at 85, So Line 4s at 63, Missouri' Pacific General 4s at 10214, Northern Pacific 4V2S at 93, Seaboard Air Line 3s at 94 and Wisconsin Central 4s at 63. Also ahead were Walworth Ss, Vanadium 3Vzs, American Tele- phone 3s of 1963 and Continental Can 3Vs. Pacific Gas 3s backed down A i -i'j points to par on saie ui mice hnnrts.

Japan bs were a share lower while Oriental Devel opment 6s traded unchanged. Sales of $900,000 compared witn $450,000 last Saturday. The bond market picked up speed this week after crawling along at snail's pace during most of February. Trading in listed Issues went past the three-million-dollar mark two days in a row, reaching par value, on Friday. The increased tempo accompa nied a mighty avalanche of new corporate financing, the heaviest in any week this year.

Industrials concerns accounted for most of the borrowing. Utilities will dominate the field next week, with more than 78 mil lion dollars of new stocks and bonds slated to reach the market.
