Demonstration For Cake to mark on your calendar: Dec. 14. On that evening Peggy Goldizen of the Tice Center Bake Shop will give a free demonstration in holiday cake decorating. The program is set for 7:30 p.m. at the USD and is open to all interested persons.

This year Peggy said she will use a new approach to her cake decorating demonstration. Instead of decorating the cakes ladies bring to the program, she will show her techniques on a cake board using different types of frosting. Included in her work will be tips on "portrait" decorating. Mrs. Goldizen said her aim is to give Fairbanks women an opportunity to see how different frosting effects are achieved.

In the past when Peggy decorated the cakes ladies brought to the demonstration, she didn't have time to do much teaching. "I decorated 200 cakes that night," Peggy said. "It was like an assembly line. That's more cakes than I decorate in a week at the shop." Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs.
