Missionary To Brazil Will Address Baptists CHARLES MCKAY Three delegates to the P.flth annual session of the Arizona Southern Baptist Convention here next week will be guest preachers today at Baptist Churches. A fourth pulpit will be occupied by its new pastor. The Rev.

Clayton Pennington is the new pastor of Drexel Heights Baptist Church, 2802 W. Mossman St. He has had pastorates in Post, Carlisle and Lubbock, Texas. He comes to Tucson from the Flint Avenue Baptist Church of Lubbock. The Rev.

Lyle Harmon of Illinois, who will particpate in is a former director of Metropolitan Missions for the Cata-lina Baptist Assn. Mormons Slating Tucson Meetings A 1 1 Mutual Improvement Assn. meetings in the Tucson Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will feature "Let It an inspirational program. Meetings will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The programs of the association, commonly called Mutual or MIA, attempt to gain greater understanding and coopera-t, i between parents and youths.

This week's program, directed by Mrs. Bernard M. Mandl, state drama director, will dramatize the challenge to young people and their parents to maintain high standards of conduct. The American Philosophical Society, the first learned American academy, was founded in 1743 with the help of Benjamin Franklin. By CATHRYN McCUNE Approximately 900 delegates from the 293 Southern Baptist Churches and 70 missions in Arizona and Nevada will be in Tucson Monday through Thursday for the 39th annual session of the Arizona Southern Baptist Convention.

The Twenty-second Street Baptist Cluirch, 6620 E. 22nd will be the host church. The Rev. M. E.

McGlamery, pastor, is president of the convention. Dr. Charles L. Wood, pastor of the First Southern Baptist Church, will preach the annual sermon. The delegates will speak for the 60,000 members of the Southern Baptist Church in the Iav states.

Monday's and Tuesday's programs will feature the meet- Story Of Church To Be Told Today The story of Dove of Peace Lutheran Church, 665 W. Roller Coaster will be told and shown to the members of the congregation today at 5:30 p.m. A pot-luck dinner will be served for all members of the congregation. A color film of the church, including groundbreaking events to the present will be shown, the Rev. Charles W.

The Collinses have a home in Denver but will return to Recife, Brazil, Dec. 1 for a full term as missionaries under the Independent Bible Baptist Missions. At age 26, Reverend Collins ha? established a native church in Brazil and has served as founder and leader of Christian youth groups on two continents. He helped establish the International Christian Youth in Amsterdam and in North and South America.

In 1963 he helped found the Latin American affiliate of the ICY in Mexico City when he was elected executive secretary with headquarters in Recife.
