Corn closed steady to fractionally higher, reflecting good shipping demand, a tight cash corn situation, unfavorable crop weather and expectations that Mexico soon will be in the market about 20,000,000 bushels of the feed grain. At the start of trading, the whole grain and soybean list moved up ward, extending Thursday's higher markets. Early strength was credited to a firm securities market and higher opening prices for soybean oils and meals.
