L. Terry cap tured the javelina Thursday near a major thoroughfare. It turned" out the pig was tame, and Terry said he would keep it as a pet if no one claimed him. But Mrs. Henry Minten contacted police, explaining the pig is owned by friends.

When they wen on a trip, he was left with the Mintens, who own their own javelina. She said Petey apparently left in a huff after tempers flared between him and the Mintens' javelina. Petey "still wants nothing to do with our javelina," Mrs. Minten said. She blamed this on jealousy and competition for the affections of the Mintens' bird dog, Buck.
