The lightning struck the chimney nnd travelled down to the kitchen range, turning It over and scattering soot over the floor. Tho lightning was probably grounded as there was no evidence ot flames. The building next door owned by Chris Sarkasort was also struck and Mr. Stirkasoff who was ntandlng in the rear of tho house holding a. par- Ing knife was knocked down and rendered unconscious for half hour.

Mr. Sarknsoff was burned on the back. Amoma Class To Meet There will be a meeting of the Amo- ma Class of the First Baptist Church held nt tho church at 2:30. All tho members nre requested to be present. Plans will be completed for the banquet which they will serve to tho Brotherhood.

Party In Honor of Birthday Anniversaries Mrs. Glen Tetreau was hostess to a party friends, at dinner given In her home Sunday evening In honor ot her small son, Robert and Miss Mae Hendy, the-occasion being the anniversaries ot tho honorees. A four course repast was served. Tho table was beautifully decorated with pink and white color scheme predominating. A vase of cut flowers occupied the center of the table and placed at each end of the table were pink and white cakes trimmed in tiny candles.

Covers wero laid for the honorees and Mr. and -Mrs. Tetreau, Miss Iva Mansholt, Miss Beatrice Lasbury. An out of town guest was Miss Bernice Carnathan from Bt. Louis.

Attend Celebration of Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary The Rev. A. H. Idecker attended the celebration of the fiftieth wedding anniversary of the Rev. and Mrs.
